The most exciting part of my career is the unknown. I never know, from one day to the next, with what condition, which symptom, or what concerns my patients will present, and it is up to me to determine the best mode of therapy to provide for their needs. Whatever that condition is, I love the challenge of solving the puzzle. The opportunity to make a decisive, if not immediate, impact on another persons life is an immeasurable personal and professional reward that manifests itself on a daily basis.
Dr. Bobbitt has loved dentistry since he was in kindergarten when he made a lifelong commitment to become the best dentist he could be. His passion for the field comes from the gratification of helping a patient in any way possible and making a difference in their life.
Dr. Bobbitt is greatly humbled by the opportunity to treat patients using his skills, judgment, and experience. He has been awarded multiple honors from his colleagues, including NH Magazines Top Dentist award and the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Only around 400 dentists have ever received this award and Dr. Bobbitt stands proudly among them.
Dr. Bobbitt graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry as an Honors Scholar, Magna cum Laude. He also graduated near the top of his class at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Though his educational background was excellent, Dr. Bobbitt yearned for more real-life experience before committing to patient care. To gain the skills needed to provide for a variety of dental patients, he joined the U.S. Air Force for hands-on experience in a General Practice Residency with in-depth study of all 10 disciplines of comprehensive dentistry.
After completing his training, Dr. Bobbitt was stationed for three years at RAF Bentwaters, the United Kingdom at a base where he and his colleagues had to provide 100 percent of the dental care necessary for every patient. This gave him a great base of knowledge and experience to open a general practice that could attend to every need of his patients.

If youve ever had an impression made of your mouth, you know that the process can be messy or can trigger a sensitive gag reflex. Thats exactly why we use an intraoral digital scanner at our practice whenever possible. The digital scan is more accurate, doesnt tend to make the patient gag, and, to be honest, is just plain really cool!
The scanner is a 30fps movie camera that records 2-dimensional images that are laced together by a computer algorithm to create a 3-dimensional, printable model accurate to 25 microns. This clear, 3D model of your teeth, gums, and other oral structures can be used for a variety of procedures such as crafting customized crowns and mouthguards.
X-rays are an essential part of a thorough dental examination. They show our dental team areas of concern that arent visible to the naked eye. Digital X-rays improve the process by being faster, safer, and more comfortable. Best of all, they significantly reduce the amount of radiation youre exposed to, so you can rest easy knowing that your long-term health is protected.
Digital X-ray images are available immediately because they dont have to be processed. That means we can detect any dental issues quicker and develop a treatment plan right away, increasing the odds of a successful outcome.
In addition to digital X-rays and CBCT scans, we offer an additional diagnostic tool: digital panoramic images. Dental panoramic scans can show an image of your entire mouth in one scan to provide context for your dental issues. They are especially useful when assessing the position of wisdom teeth and for the evaluation of TMJ issues.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an incredible piece of dental technology that has improved our diagnostic process. CBCT scans are similar to panoramic X-rays except they show dental issues in much more detail, in three dimensions, and provide data that is invisible to a 2-dimensional image. This allows our dental team to establish a more accurate diagnosis and to provide more accurate treatment for you.
CBCT machines take a series of 2-dimensional images from which intricate computer software creates a comprehensive 3D overview of your jaw and head. CBCT scans take under one minute to complete and cause no discomfort for your convenience.
Digital cephalometric images provide the necessary background for the planning of orthodontic and Invisalign procedures. The study of these images allows Dr. Bobbitt to accurately predict the outcome and risks associated with the movement of teeth before anything else is done.
This allows us to correct tooth alignment and jaw issues more easily and accurately. Well also be able to see your surrounding tissues, including the gums and bone structure. This can help create customized oral appliances such as dentures and dental implants, as well as planning a tooth extraction.
Lasers and dentistry may seem like an odd pair, but laser dentistry has changed the way many routine procedures are performed. There are several uses for dental lasers, including disease detection, soft tissue treatments, and hard tissue treatments.
