Dr. Cory is a unique and different kind of dentist. Growing up in a family with several dentists and dental lab technicians, Dr. Cory Nguyen was exposed to all aspects of dentistry early on. Dr. Cory earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2004 from the prestigious, Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry. He opened his first private practice right out of dental school and soon realized that in order to help and give his patients the most optimum standard of care and overall results, he had to be trained and skilled in all disciplines and/or specialties of dentistry.
Subsequently, this has led Dr. Cory traveling all across the country, spending countless hours of continuing education learning and perfecting his knowledge & skills. Dr. Corys post-grad training includes advanced implant training with the Medical College of Georgia and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is currently 1 out of 16 General Practitioners in Texas, who has earned Diplomate status with the ABOI/ID, American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. This distinguished distinction symbolizes the highest level of competency in implant dentistry. In addition, Dr. Cory has also earned his Fellow status with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), further validating his expertise and proficiency in implant dentistry. He has always and continues to go far above & BEYOND the required annual hours for continuing education.
Dr. Corys WHY? and reason behind his passion for understanding and helping patients with TMJ/TMD Pain, Airway/Breathing issues & Sleep Apnea came from 15 years of working with many of his patients who all had a common and recurring factor unexplained chronic pain and a breakdown in dentistry: infections, pain, sensitivity, inflamed gums, chipped teeth, veneers, crowns, failed implants, etc. Dr. Cory sought out the top advanced dentistry, neuromuscular dentistry & sleep medicine mentors and teachers in the world to learn and to understand the reasoning behind this mystery. The more he learned, the more he wanted to know. His never-ending educational journey has blessed him with thousands of hours of advanced training in all specialties of dentistry including over 200 plus hours at world-renowned education facilities focusing on cranio-mandibular dysfunctions & rehabilitation, TMJ/TMD pain, neuromuscular dentistry, orthodontics, facial orthotropics, myofunctional disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, orthodontic/orthopedic and restorative/prosthetics.
Dr. Cory has been practicing comprehensive dentistry for over 15 years in the Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex. His combination of artistry skill, technical ability & state of the art equipment and devices are used to perform the most conservative care tailored to each patient individual needs. His advanced training in neuromuscular dentistry and physiologic occlusion along with his multi-specialty experience has enabled him to provide his patients a lasting transformation from their lifelong battle with TMJD (Temporo-Mandibular-Joint-Disorder) & Obstructive Sleep Apnea. By taking a comprehensive, whole body approach to dentistry, he is able to reach the goal of stability, healthy form & function. This has been an important part of my professional career to remain a general practitioner so I can provide my patients with comprehensive treatment and not to be bound by the boundaries of one specialty.
His passion is to help patients discover why their pain has happened, and then give them choices to get relief. They enjoy family time grilling, eating, singing karaoke, hanging by the pool and traveling to beach destinations whenever they get a chance. In addition to reading books on advanced dentistry and latest health advancements & technologies, Dr Cory is an avid sports enthusiast. My tooth broke in the middle of the night and I managed to get an appointment in the same week. The appointment was at 4pm and Dr Nguyen decided to do the implant procedure the same day and worked past office hours. I was really nervous after hearing experiences of other friends and family by other dentists but Dr Nguyen made it painless and did what other dentist would have done in 3 visits in one. The after care has been amazing and I have been pain free so far. I wish I had known about him when I had my other crowns replaced His team is great and so friendly and helpful

One of the greatest decisions I've made was choosing Dr. Cory Nguyen to do my implants. Man he's a pro! The surgery was fast & painless. I was extremely impressed with the procedure & results. I highly recommend!

I had delayed treatment on getting a couple missing teeth to have dental implants to replace them, and I was actually pretty scared to get them done, so I delayed doing them. I then looked around after several years, and found Beyond Dental and read all the reviews and decided it was time to have the procedures done. I went to the office for the first time and they we all very nice and the dentist Dr. Cory Nguyen definitely is an expert in the procedure and many others. The implants were easier than getting a root canal done by far, and there is some time before you can get the crown on the implant for my particular case, but I got my first one completed yesterday. I look and feel like a new man. I still have some work to go but completely trust Cory and staff completely. I would highly recommend to anyone for any dental work, and especially dental implants.

Rude, pushy, and salesman like tactics during my visit today with him. This is a doctor that I spent over $7000 with him in one day last year. His approach is extremely unprofessional and more like borderline desperation. I guess he expect me to make financial decision on the spot and if you don't you are wasting his time......after the visit today, he won't be my doctor anymore. Don't recommend.

I have used Dr. Cory Nguyen for several years and he has done 2 implants. I am very nervous about dental procedures and both times his patience was appreciated. He takes time explaining each step as he proceeds and takes the time to ask if I'm ok at each step of the procedure. Each time I received a phone call from his office the next day checking up on me and i was assured that if I have any questions to not hesitate to call. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Dr Nguyen and his entire team! They have been extremely caring, punctual, and professional. I came to them with a dislocated jaw, sleep apnea, tongue tie, and countless other issues involving TMJ. It's been close to a year since we've been working together on this journey and it has been nothing short of amazing! I no longer have sleep apnea, anxiety, tongue tie, and most importantly my jaw has improved immensely. I dont know what I would have done without these folks. I'm forever grateful for them and highly recommend them to anyone.

My son had been suffering from jaw pain, ringing in the ear. He would grind and clench his teeth while sleeping. Dr. Nguyen recommended the Orthotic Device to align the jaw. My son wears this device all the time. A lot of the symptoms and discomfort have disappeared. His jaw looks even and he is pain free and sleeps better at night. I'm so glad we found Dr. Nguyen.

The place is very professional. I had to get my implant done and I didn't have enough space for it. The doctor put a bracket to extend the implant space and he didn't charge me a dime for that. I am happy and can't wait to get my implant in place. Thank you team.

Best dentist ever! My first time visiting Beyond Dental I had a horrific tooth ache and they got me in on the same day and took care of the problem! I've been several times since and every time the office staff has been professional, courteous, friendly and helpful, especially when it came to my insurance. Dr. Nguyen explained what I needed, listened to what I wanted and came up with a game plan to get it done. I gave them them 5 stars and they gave me 1 big a%# smile!

Took both my children here today. Everything was amazing!! Starting with the check in, she knew my son by name. We didn't even wait 2 minutes before either was called back. The office is clean. The staff is friendly. Both my children said that they enjoyed their visit! We definitely found their new dentist

I cannot express how happy I am that I went to this dentist to get my teeth fix and dental implants. I am terrified of needles and just the words "dentist visits". Dental hygienist did an amazing job. The dentist on the other hand couldn't find the time to even see me after making me wait over an hour after the cleaning. Too many other options in DFW to settle for sub par service. Stay away. Do not recommend!!!
