Having had three rounds of braces that changed her self-confidence and health as a young child, she fell in love with the transformative aspect of her profession as well as the upbeat and welcoming atmosphere that can be incorporated into an orthodontic office. Now, as an orthodontist herself, she aims to treat every patient with respect and kindness, and she strives to create a modern, refreshing environment that children, teens, or adults will look forward to during every one of their visits. Outside of the office walls, Dr. Christines career accomplishments include writing and illustrating 3 childrens books pertaining to oral health and braces with her twin sister who is also an orthodontist, as well as presenting at the 11th World Cleft Lip/Palate and Craniofacial Congress (ICPF) in China in 2017. Dr. Christine attended University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) for her undergraduate Bachelors in Science degree, followed by dental school at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Finally, Dr. Christine stayed in San Francisco at UOP for her orthodontic residency, completing her Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Orthodontics attestations.
In her free time, you can find Christine riding her bike around Santa Monica with her fianc, indulging in restaurants, and exploring Los Angeles with her friends. Originally from the Czech Republic, Christine has a passion for travel, including going back to visit her whole family in Europe.
Dr. Michelle Stepanek is a dedicated Orthodontist who specializes in Braces and Invisalign for children, teens and adults. Having strived to become an orthodontist since she was 11 years old, Dr. Michelle is not only passionate about crafting beautiful smiles, but she is also committed to creating a personalized, attentive patient experience for every person that steps through the door. In her own words, Creating a beautiful, straight smile is a work of art, and I promise to be the artist of your dreams! Together we will find the best approach for your treatment that will be tailored to your wants and needs. My goal is to provide you with a functioning bite as well as an esthetic smile that others will admire! In addition to serving patients in the office, Dr. Michelle has co-written and co-illustrated 3 childrens books on oral health education, orthodontics and cleft lip and palate.
Dr. Michelle earned her undergraduate degree from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After gaining her Bachelor in Science degree at UCLA, she attended dental school at University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP) in San Francisco for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree where she graduated top of her class! She continued her studies at UOP, gaining her Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Orthodontics at the residency program.
Dr. Michelle loves living in Santa Monica where she spends time at the beach, explores new restaurants, and goes on hikes with her boyfriend. She is also an avid traveler and loves visiting her family in the Czech Republic at least once a year among other countries abroad.

This is the best orthodontist office in LA. Every single staff member is professional and puts their best effort into their job. I would give this place way more than 5 stars, honestly. We are very satisfied with everything and everyone there, and highly recommend!

I've been waiting 1h15 to get my theeth glue on my wire. They told me they were doing their << real customer >> before me.... it took me an hour to go to their clinic waited 1h15 and had to do another hour do drive back home. They shouldn't schedule too much people if they don't have time to do them. Big waist of my time and unprofessional, they even made me pay when I came in, probably making sure they got their money!!! little advice, choose another place if you don't have a day to spend

Both my kids have had a great experience and I did a tune up from my childhood orthodontics due to teeth movement. I could not be happier with the result. The staff is great and very accommodating to my schedule as well.

I've had a great experience at BHO in all of their offices - Toluca Lake, Century City, and Downtown LA (the office I began my treatment in). The ease of scheduling, the staff & the treatment all exceeded my expectations. I recommend these offices for treatment for anyone looking to have a better smile. Oh, and my teeth look incredible!

I found BHO on yelp, they had very positive comments and they were not wrong. Since my first visit until the end of my Invisalign treatment they were very professional, always answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns, I am very satisfied with my teeth.

Stop looking around and meeting with other orthodontists and just go to BHO. Seriously. Our kids have gorgeous teeth now, the doctors and staff are great...what more do you need? Locations in Beverly Hills, DTLA and Toluca Lake.

I had a great experience with BHO. Dr. Cohen was amazing throughout my long and detailed treatment. I had a lot of work done to fix my teeth and bite as well, all done efficiently and with a lot of love and care. The assistants were also fantastic, as well as the other doctors that assisted my journey to straight + great teeth!
