Dr. Hanam-Jahr is originally from Pennsylvania. She grew up in a steel town outside of Pittsburgh and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from Duquesne University. After graduation, she served as both staff nurse and charge nurse in several surgical and trauma intensive care units at Presbyterian-University Hospital in Pittsburgh and Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. She began her dental career at the Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Dentistry (LSUSD), receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degreein 1995.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Hanam-Jahr worked as an associate dentist in private practice inNew Orleans for one year. After relocating to California, she worked as a civilian consultant dentist atMcClellan Air Force Base and as an associate dentist in private practice in both Folsom and Sacramento. She purchased her own practice in 2001 and relocated to Beverly Hills. In 2017, she purchased her second practice and merged the two locations to the Beverly Hills Triangle.
Dr. Hanam-Jahractively pursues the highest qualitypost-graduate continuing education far exceeding licensure requirements. She is a graduate of both the LSU Cosmetic Continuum and the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum live (PAC-Live) courses. Additionally, she holds certifications in Standard Laser Proficiency from the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Invisalign, Six Month Smiles (Adult Cosmetic Orthodontics), Botox and dermal fillers for bruxism and orofacial pain/TMJ treatment from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, Pinhole Surgical Technique, Lumineers, Snap-on Smile, and Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Hanam-Jahr is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE),the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the Los Angeles Dental Society (LADS), the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH), and Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity. Her practice focus for over 25 years is on cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics, and oral-systemic health. She is a Give Back A Smile volunteer through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry which helps battered women regain their confidence with healthy and beautiful smiles. She is passionate about balancing the orofacial structures to improve and maintain health and appearance orally, facially, and systemically.
Dr. Hanam-Jahr is married to her husband, Dr. Jonathan Jahr, an anesthesiologist and a retired UCLA Professor Emeritus. Together they have two children, Jacob and Rachel, and their adopted/rescue dog Buster and cat, Snowflake. Her leisure interests include cooking, music, playing piano, and learning guitar and photography.
Adriana graduated from West Los Angeles College in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. She started in the field of dentistry as a Registered Dental Assistant before continuing her education to become a hygienist. She has worked in the areas of general, pediatric, and periodontics for over 27 years.
After many years of experience in the field, she knows the importance of customer care and building relationships with patients. She considers the mouth to be incredibly importantin the systemicfunction andoverall well-being
Adriana pridesherself on staying current with the latest research in preventative oral health care. Her professionalism and commitmentare noticeablyreflected in her positive attitude and compassionate delivery of care.
Adriana is bilingual being fluent in English and Spanish. She enjoys traveling, family time, friends, adventuring outdoors, photography, hiking, visiting the beach, and different culinary experiences.
Her favorite part of the day is when patients compliment Dr. Hanam-Jahr and herself on how great we work together. She likes to make sure the patients understand all aspects of their treatment before we start working.
Karen grew up in Canton, Ohio where she attended McKinley High School and graduated as the Salutatorian. She attended Ohio State University and graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist and earned a Bachelors of Science in Education.
Karen has been incredibly involved in the dental community. Shehas been an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at U.S.C for over 46 years,co-chaired the effort to assemble the Los Angeles Dental Hygiene Associate newsletter helping fellow hygienists keepabreast of the things that influence their professional careers, and volunteered for almost thirty years as a camp counselor, providing floss and toothpaste to children with life-threatening illnesses.
