Dr Jennifer Beurskens was born in Frankfurt, Germany while her dad was stationed there serving in the Air Force. She was raised in her parents hometown of Independence, KS and graduated from Independence High School in 2002. From there Dr B went on to Metropolitan State University of Denver and received her B.S in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Upon graduating from college, she attended the University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine. She graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2010.
Dr Beurskens knew she wanted to return to Independence to raise a family in small town life. She purchased a practice in downtown Independence now known as Beurskens Family Dentistry. Dr B enjoys treating her patients to meet their dental needs and getting to know them on a personal level.
Dr Beurskens is a member of the Kansas Dental Association and American Dental Association. She is very involved in her local community and has served on many committees such as Queen Neelah Pop Party, Queens Tea and Queen Neelah Talent. She is a member of Soroptimist, has participated doing hair and makeup for childrens summer theatre, as well as volunteering as a coach for childrens sports.
Dr Beurskens married Coffeyville native Jared Everitt. They have three children, Carter, 9, Hadley, 5 and Brinley, 3. She and her husband enjoy raising their kids in the same small town manner that they both grew up in.
