Dr. John Kong is a periodontist and a dental implant specialist, one of the roughly 1% of dentists board-certified by The American Board of Periodontology. He is a graduate of the Bronx H.S. of Science and finished his undergraduate education at Amherst College / Wesleyan University. He received his dental education from SUNY School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook, where he graduated at the top of his class. He then completed a 3-year, post graduate residency in Periodontics & Implantology at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine while also getting published in peer-reviewed dental journals on Bone Regeneration.
He is currently, Chief of Implantology at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, a non-profit MediSys Health Network. In addition, he is certified in Invisalign braces and completed a one year post-graduate program on Full-Mouth Reconstruction: Implants, Aesthetics, and Occlusion at NYU. Recently, he completed a 3 year dental journey in cutting edge, dental continuing education to become credentialed as a KOIS Center recognized specialist to provide his patients the highest level of patient care based on predictable, evidence-based dental systems.

He regularly attends continuing education lectures and employs the latest equipment and cutting edge techniques to provide his patients the most up to date procedures and healthy smiles. He has a warm and caring bedside manner and is sensitive to his patients needs.
He is also active in his profession as a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI) and American Academy of Periodontology (AAP).
Dr. Kwag is a General and Cosmetic Dentist. He spent his childhood years in his fathers dental practice in South Korea, which inspired him to become a dentist. He moved to Long Island, N.Y., and graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Biology.
