Dr. John Kong is a periodontist and a dental implant specialist, one of the roughly 1% of dentists board-certified by The American Board of Periodontology. He is a graduate of the Bronx H.S. of Science and finished his undergraduate education at Amherst College / Wesleyan University. He received his dental education from SUNY School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook, where he graduated at the top of his class. He then completed a 3-year, post graduate residency in Periodontics & Implantology at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine while also getting published in peer-reviewed dental journals on Bone Regeneration.
He is currently, Chief of Implantology at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, a non-profit MediSys Health Network. In addition, he is certified in Invisalign braces and completed a one year post-graduate program on Full-Mouth Reconstruction: Implants, Aesthetics, and Occlusion at NYU. Recently, he completed a 3 year dental journey in cutting edge, dental continuing education to become credentialed as a KOIS Center recognized specialist to provide his patients the highest level of patient care based on predictable, evidence-based dental systems.
Dr. Kong will impress you with a high level of skill and technical abilities. He regularly attends continuing education lectures and employs the latest equipment and cutting edge techniques to provide his patients the most up to date procedures and healthy smiles. He has a warm and caring bedside manner and is sensitive to his patients needs.
He is also active in his profession as a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI) and American Academy of Periodontology (AAP).
Dr. Christopher Rong is a cosmetic and general dentist. He is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and completed his undergraduate education at SUNY Binghamton, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Rong then went on to study at NYU College of Dentistry, where he earned his DDS degree. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Christopher Rong is a member of the American Dental Association, Chinese American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Rong is methodical in his approach to dentistry and committed to providing the utmost care to his patients.

I have been seeing Dr Kong for a few years. I feel confident that my dental hygiene is in good hands. His office is bright and clean and all safety precautions are being taken.My appointments have all been punctual. I have no complaints.I also like the fact that he specializes in periodontics and dental implants, because I may need that in future.

For many reasons I am a difficult, nervous and untrustful patient. I was recommended to get my oral/periodontist surgery with Dr. Kong by an Oral Surgeon (from other Office) at Better Living Office. From the beginning, the professionalism, knowledgeable and efficiency of the Office Manager, Pooja, I knew I was in the right place. I am from Spain and I was totally lost about insurance and everything. Since my first appointment, Dr. Kong explained slowly and clearly everything with the pros, cons and results. He did a great periodontist procedure besides the difficulties and I am very greatful although I have to do my "homework". Now, before my next appointment on fall, I will have to think about a future dental work but at least I feel more calm and confident about it. I strongly recommended Dr. Kohn. I would like also mention the hygienist Claudia. I was really in good hands.

All the staffs and dentists were very attentive and friendly. They gave me all information I need to know about my current procedures and future ones. My billing was carefully explaining in detail in advance. Also very accommodating with my schedule for the next visit.

Dr Kong and his office manager Pooja exceeded my expectations this last year. They were always available and responsive to any issue.
