Davids number one passion in life is his marriage to his beautiful wife, Sarah, and the six children that God has allowed them to bring into the world. Before earning a doctorate at the University of Maryland, Dr. Draper studied Italian and performed improv comedy at BYU. He is known by his patients for having a highly personable and compassionate chairside manner.
When he is not working, Dr. Draper loves playing guitar and cooking. His pumpkin pie is a family legend! (Hint: Graham cracker crust.) Homeschooling his children gives him and his wife a flexible schedule that lets them travel to fun new places and try delicious local eats. They love funny movies, playing soccer, and reading. Dr. Drapers favorite book is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Dr. John Draper is a family-loving father of five beautiful children, three girls and two little boys. Dr. Draper met the love of his life, Wendy, at age 14! He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2016. Dr. Draper served in the Idaho National Guard and the Army Reserves after signing up when he was 17 years old and completed two tours of duty before finding his true calling in the dental industry. He finds joy in serving the wonderful patients of Better Dental, meeting one need at a time.
Born in Romania and raised in the great state of Ohio, Dr. Flavius Popescu, or Dr. P, learned early on that healthcare is a luxury for many people. Seeing his own parents struggle influenced Dr. P tremendously and drove him to become a dentist. Dr. P carries a deep compassion for those in need and strives to create solutions whenever he can. Dental problems can be a heavy burden on people and his goal is to provide the best care in an efficient manner.
Dr. P earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Prior to serving in North Carolina, he practiced in Florida, both in Naples and Marco Island two great places to live and visit, if you get the chance! Dr. P did not stop his education after graduation. Over the past decade he has attended numerous CE courses on everything from root canals to implants. He has received multiple diplomas and certificates from places such as the MidWest Implant Institute, Naples Institute of Implant Dentistry, the Dawson Academy, and many more. With the rate at which dentistry and technology are advancing there is always something new to learn! Through various dental mission trips, Dr. P has had the privilege of practicing dentistry all over the world, but is equally as proud to serve his community here at home.
Dr. P and his wife have two little girls, Chloe and Eloise. Outside of the office, Dr. P enjoys soccer and biking. He loves discovering new restaurants, buying fresh vegetables at the local markets, and is also an active member of the Romanian Christian Church community.
Dr. Tia Joyce looks forward to providing the highest level of dental care to you and your loved ones. Dr. Joyce is a North Carolina native, born in Charlotte and raised in North Wilkesboro, NC. Dr. Joyce attended Meredith College for undergrad, majoring in chemistry, biology, and psychology, and participated in several clubs and organizations, many of which she was honored to serve in as an executive member. After college, Dr. Joyce took a year off to work in a dental practice and soak in everything she could, with hopes to one day become the best dentist possible. Dr. Joyce attended dental school at UNC School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill, where she fell more and more in love with dentistry everyday.
In her free time, Dr. Joyce enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and especially loving on her dog, Gubbs! She is honored to serve you here at Better Dental and is truly looking forward to welcoming you into our Better Dental family.

I visit 4 phases of dental Root canal and crown treatments but I see that still teeth not aligned correctly and biting & sensitive not reduced, Getting pain when I drink room temperature water also. I don't recommend this place, super expensive and SLA treatment not up to your expectations when you spend more also, still bear with lot of teeth problems.

If you are looking for amazing Dental Care this is the place! Dr. Nadella, Dr Joyce and Dr Anew are great! They are very caring for their patients. The staff makes you feel at ease and are very friendly. If you are a good patient you might get a fresh baked cookie!

My dental hygienist was very nice and thorough but the appointment took over two hours which was a lot and the order of the visit was different. X-rays, then the dentist came in and then the cleaning. Overall visit was ok not sure if I will go back

Four years of great care. My last visit was a very thorough deep cleaning . Hygienist was excellent and explained all she was doing and cared about my comfort level . Dentist made a thorough sweep of all areas and discussed plans going forward. Receptionist staff friendly and welcoming. Warm cookies

AVOID BETTER DENTAL. I do not recommend Better Dental (Apex), Had worst experience having surgery, went for little pain and after 5 months still facing issue having infection. Had to go for other oral surgeon for treatment and he said Better Dental messed up the wisdom tooth surgery at first place. WRONG TREATMENT and WRONG DR. that is what other Dr said.

I don't remember much because I was in a lot of pain and everything was a blur to me but the fact that I called and they got me right in within 15 mins. I arrived and it was 10 mins if that called to the back and they immediately started assisting me. Straightforward and to the point. I am forever thankful for this office they have truly gained a new patient. First impressions mean everything and they were top notch from beginning to the end.

Overall, a good and comfortable experience. The Dr. did come off a bit judgmental when looking at my slightly crooked bottom row, but the DH was sweet and gentle.
