Dr. Deborah Klotz, or Dr. Deb, as her patients call her, started years ago, in Washington DC, with a Journalism degree from The George Washington University. Her path to Bethesda Sedation Dentistry began after college when she proceeded to The University of Maryland to earn her DDS degree with honors. Following dental school, she went into private practice in the Baltimore region, but knew she always wanted to practice closer to the Washington D.C. area. As she searched for the perfect practice opportunity, she continued to improve herself as a clinician. Over the years, she has completed training with Implant Seminars and The Misch Institute, ultimately earning a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Additional studies with The Dawson Academy, have given her significant knowledge and experience in the treatment of complex restorative dental needs. As a practicing board certified sedation dentist, she is constantly striving to offer the safest and most advanced techniques in Sedation Dentistry. She has also studied with world renowned clinicians including Drs. Carl Misch, John Suzuki, Clifford Ruddell and Michael Pikos, learning the most successful and current root canal, surgical and dental implant techniques.
Dr. Klotzs passion for dentistry has afforded her many wonderful opportunities, including being able to offer her services to those who are less fortunate through organizations like Give Back A Smilea program created to help abused women. In addition, she is a founding member of Mommy Dentists in Business, which is a nationwide group of entrepreneurial moms devoted to helping fellow mombosses succeed in juggling their dental practices and family responsibilities.
When she is not at the office, Dr. Klotz can often be found sailing out on the Chesapeake Bay, or strolling the city with her dog Dharma. We doubt shell let you out of the office without seeing pictures of her sons Carter and Bennett who are a joy and the spitting image of Dr. Rob! Dr. Robert Schlossberg, or Dr. Rob as his patients call him, graduated from The George Washington University, with his degree in emergency medicine. It was clear to him from early on that he had a passion for patient interaction and care. Following college, he spent some time as a paramedic and was able to gain a significant amount of experience in patient management and treatment. Ultimately, however, he decided to focus his interests in the dental profession. It was at The University of Maryland, where he earned his DDS degree, that he developed a strong dedication to the area of complex restorative dentistry. As a veteran of the Washington D.C./Baltimore Metropolitan area, and as a practicing sedation dentist, he is honored to be providing care to the Bethesda Sedation Dentistry community.
Dr. Schlossbergs education includes a surgical clerkship in advanced surgical techniques as well as post-graduate training in Cosmetic Dentistry, Comprehensive Restorative Dentistry and numerous other areas of advanced dental treatment. His post graduate training was at the renowned Dawson Academy, in St. Petersburg, Florida, and The Misch Institute in Implantology. His most recent training and education has brought him together with Drs. Carl Misch, John Suzuki, Clifford Ruddell and Michael Pikos to learn the most current techniques in root canals and dental implant related surgical procedures. As a board certified sedation dentist, his passion is helping patients through their complex dental treatments. By incorporating all of his enthusiasm and education, he is able to provide a relaxing, pain-free experience for his patients.
When he is not helping patients overcome their dental fears, he can often be found sailing the Chesapeake, around town with his dog Dharma, traveling the globe or enjoying the company of good friends and family. Dr. Rob and his wife, Dr. Deborah Klotz, have beautiful sons, Carter and Bennett, who keep life at home very busy.
