Dr. Gary Bethea loves being able to form rewarding, lasting relationships with his patients. His practice philosophy is centered on the belief that we are here to serve, not be served. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina and went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College. Upon finishing dental school, Dr. Bethea completed a General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland.
Committed to keeping up with the latest advancements in the industry, Dr. Bethea is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and Greater Columbia Dental Association.
Dr. Bethea is happily married and the proud parent of three boys. He and his family are members of First Northeast Baptist Church. Dr. Bethea is also actively involved in several ministries. When not helping his patients, he loves to spend time with his family and friends and pursue visual storytelling projects, including videography.

Great Customer Service at its best! The staff is amazing, friendly and most of all take great care of you. I'll refer anyone to Dr. Garry Bethea & Staff great atmosphere you feel like home while waiting to get service. Miya was excellent! She takes great care of my teeth when cleaning and we have great laughs and good conversations.

Update:: Had to have teeth removed from my top, and I was TERRIFIED. The entire staff put me at ease and once I was numb I did NOT FEEL A THING. They were so gentle and kind. I wish I could tell names but it honestly doesnt matter. The entire practice, from the sweet ladies checking you in, to the ones preparing you, and ESPECIALLY THE DENTIST....... ARE PHENOMENAL!! I had NINE removed and go back to finish up some removal on the bottom Monday. I will NEVER go to another Dentist office. The staff and dentist explained everything thoroughly and I can't wait to get started on my new smile!! Once it is all complete I will gladly post pictures!!
