For the past 31 years, it has been my pleasure to work with so many people from my community to help them achieve lasting, beautiful smiles. Ive loved getting to know my patients on a personal level while watching as their smiles and their personalities change. I cannot imagine another, more fulfilling profession than orthodontics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE I completed my undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary, where I graduated with a double major in Chemistry and Psychology. While in college, I was a competitive swimmer on the swim team and a member of the synchronized swim team. After college, I completed four years of dental school, graduating from the Medical College of Virginia with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. From there, I chose to specialize in orthodontics and spent two years in advanced training in orthodontics. I received my Certificate and her Masters Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit.
After graduating, I spent a year an associate in a two-doctor practice in Toledo, Ohio. In 1986, I opened my own practice in Tappahannock, Virginia. Six years later, I opened our second office in Kilmarnock, Virginia.
Providing orthodontic care for both children and adults comes different rewards. I get to participate in my young patients development by playing an active role in developing their face and smile and in influencing the development of their self-esteem. It is my pleasure to experience these young people as they mature into young adults while in treatment.
Working with adult patients allows me to help them create a healthy bite and beautiful smile that they love to show off, as well as cultivating a personal relationship during this process. In both cases, seeing each patient finish treatment with a beautiful smile and a healthy bite, and seeing the pride and confidence that their new smile provides is my ultimate reward.
When Im not in the office, I enjoy reading and cooking. Cooking with my children and preparing their favorite dishes is a very special activity. Molasses cookies, brownies, and meatballs are just a few of my specialties. As a member of Fairmont Christian Church, I am active in both a womens bible study and the Reflections of Him Sunday school class.

Every day, we come to work knowing were going to be part of transforming the lives of people whove become our friends. No wonder were always happy!
That enthusiasm is mirrored in the faces and laughter of our patients. They are excited to start orthodontic treatment and they cant wait to show us how well theyve done with their home care. They arrive bursting with the latest news of their adventures and successes, hardly containing their desire to tell the latest jokes.

Hands down, the most caring, empathetic and genuine group of professionals i have ever gone to. My oldest is A patient there and from the moment we made the appointment, this pratice's first priority was our comfort level and making sure we fully understood the patient plan laid out for him. To give you an idea of how much they stand out from others, i would literally drive to their office even if they were hours away from us. Luckily, they arnt too far away, ,They have a beautiful office in Kilmarnock (and Tappahannock i believe) If you are reading this and are in the market for an orthodontist.....call them!! You will not be disappointed!!

Both of my children had less than prefect smiles, one was just bad genetics and the other was a finger sucker. Dr. Faber and her team have transformed my son's smile tremendously. He went from not to smiling to smiling more and has more confidence. My daughter's top teeth were bucked so much there was a risk of breaking one of she fell. She now has beautiful teeth. Dr.Faber and her team are very accommodating to our crazy work, school, and swim schedules. When we've needed an adjustment between appointments they've worked us in with no hesitation. They are the nicest people. My oldest said to me,"I really like Dr. Faber and the staff because they talk to me like I'm a person not just a patient." If you're looking for the best team and smile Faber Orthodontics is the place to go.
