Growing up on the West Coast, Dr. Best dreamed of becoming the best video game player in the world. Sure, he could have dreamed about becoming a magician, or perhaps a lawyer, but nothing compared to being a video game hero. That is, until he discovered exactly why he loved video games so much. The simple truth is, as a kid, video games made him smile. And thats something Dr. Best wanted to do for people for the rest of his life.
So, after graduating Cal State University in Northridge where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, he attended dental school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. This was the perfect place for Dr. Best who loves the ocean even more than he loves video games. Following his general dental education, he attended MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Childrens National Medical Center in the District of Columbia for his specialty training in orthodontics.
When Dr. Best isnt in the office playing practical jokes on his team or perfecting someones smile, you can find him outside soaking up the sun and playing with his daughter Mia, his son Logan, his best friend (his wife) Valerie, and his rescue pup Bella.

Absolutely amazing experience. Everyone and everything was very professional. Office is clean and comfortable. We all know this is a sensitive process for anyone, however the entire staff goes the extra mile to make this effortless. I will be bringing all my family and friends and I highly recommend. I LOVEEEED my experience with Best Smiles Daytona! I started my treatment my senior year of undergrad and ended up moving out of state in the middle of my treatment. But this office made everything soooo easy for me to complete my treatment and I love the results! You guys are awesome!

Was able to get a new pair of retainers back in Sept./Oct. 2021. For the past 11 years (2010-2021), my bottom retainer became warped because I would wash it with too-warm/hot water and the denture cleaner solution. This place is the only one in Daytona I believe, and they consistently received great Google reviews, so wanted to give them a try. Did not disappoint. Dr. Best and his team are really caring and able to provide great service. Originally I wanted only one retainer (the bottom), but it was best to get both top and bottom as it's hard to just do it for one side only. The price for just one side was the same for the top and bottom, so it made most sense to not only get just the bottom. Smooth process of getting the x-rays done and the mold. Was able to use my HSA for payment.

It has been a long time coming with my braces, throughout this journey Best Smiles has made it a great one. I appreciate the all the staff that has made me feel confident and important as a patient. Especially Carrie O'Connor, she was always responsive, encouraged me, and always went above and beyond with her customer service. Today I got braces off!!! And by no surprise at all I have the BEST SMILE!!! Blessings to you all. Highly recommended 10 stars.
