Providing the best care for a childs oral health requires a special kind of dentist. A Pediatric Dentist has 2 additional years of training after dental school to learn how to take better care of children! Many dental offices advertise that they cater to children, and may appear to be a children only dentist, but if you ask the specific dentist taking care of your child if they are indeed pediatric dental specialists, you might be surprised at their response!
Believe it or not, providing dental care for a child is very different from that of an adult. From the anatomical differences of childhood to the special behavioral concerns of children, our pediatric dental specialists are prepared to provide the best possible care for you child. All of our staff are also well trained in caring for children.
All restorative options are available, including fillings, sealants, and crowns (caps). Pulpotomies and pulpectomies (baby teeth root canals) are also available, as are surgical procedures including extractions and space maintenance.
All of these services are provided in an atmosphere dedicated to kids! Children can watch movies while they are receiving their treatment or they can play in the game room while waiting for their siblings!
Our emphasis is on prevention in both the office and at home. We recommend regular exams and cleanings as well as positive and through home care. Home care includes limiting sweets, brushing twice daily, and flossing at least once a day (preferably before bedtime). Proper care of your childs primary teeth form the basis of their dental hygiene habits into adulthood. We do everything possible to preserve the integrity of your childs dentition while fostering a healthy and relaxed attitude towards dental care that your children will have no problem embracing.
Dr. Mike was raised in northeast Philadelphia. He graduated from Chestnut Hill Academy, and then Lafayette College. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He completed his two year pediatric dental training at St. Christophers Hospital for Children in June 2009.
Dr. Mike enjoys singing to his patients and making them laugh during treatment! Dr. Mike recently completed a rigorous process which includes both written and oral examinations to become a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. This is the highest achievement that can be obtained in Pediatric Dentistry!

Everyone was great today when I needed an emergency appointment for my son who had a very loose tooth. There were all so caring and great with my son. He didn't even know the tooth was gone because it was so painless and easy.

My kids have been coming here for 5 years. They love it. The staff is very friendly and they make feel them comfortable. They interact with the kids so the kids forget they are at tye dentist. I would definitely recommend it.

I initially loved this place until my insurance changed and they where so ignorant to me. I had a discount dental plan because of job changes n they just seemed annoyed with it. They won't even make an appointment for my two kids at the same time they said they can only see 2 year olds during the day. I changed to sea of smiles and couldn't be happier.

Such a great environment for kids. The people there are so warm, caring, and loving. My kids felt comfortable as did I. I would recommend for anyone. They have movies to distract the kids while they have their appointment and old skool video games while they are waiting. Wouldn't recommend anyone else.

Dr. Lennie and Dr Sara have been wonderful in making my children at ease. We've been to multiple dental practices that try to use scare tactics to influence treatment plans. Not at best dentist for kids. The dentists make sure all of my questions are answered and they have always supported my choice to a conservative approach to procedures. This means the world to me and my children are no longer dreading the dentist. I would give 10 stars if I could. They even handled my emergency call on a weekend after hours with graciousness and compassion. So thankful for this practice!

This dental practice is A+. I've had the best experience each and every visit with my kids. We recently went and again, they did not disappoint. They have games for the kids to calm their nerves while they wait their turn, they have a fun atmosphere while in the dental seat and they make it warm and welcoming for the kids while they get their work done. My kids don't fear the dentist and ask when they can go back. We are willing to drive the 20 minutes just because of how much my family enjoys it.

Amazing!!!!! As much as I am not a fan of going to the dentist, the care that Dr Mike and staff provide your kids is beyond anything. We came from a different place and this is night and day. Very accommodating for emergencies and super knowledgeable. All the staff as well as Dr Lennie and Dr Sarah are a pleasure to deal with as well. I wouldn't trust my kids teeth to anyone else. Highly recommend!

The best pediatric dentist in the area! My son is terrified of going to the dentist, but the staff and Dr's at Best Dentist 4 Kids always calms him down and makes the experience for him much more manageable! I will always reccomend this office to others!

This dentist office had very friendly staff and were accommodating to my son who has sensory issues. They were able to calm him to get a cleaning, xrays and flouride. We were in and out in less than 30 mins. Amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience here! We have tried several pediatric dentists in the past but all have been unsuccessful with getting our son to handle and tolerate x-rays and cleanings. The staff here are amazing and knew exactly what to do to put our son at ease. This is the first time we've been able to get x-rays and a full cleaning in many years. Aside from the upbeat, professional and kid- friendly staff, the atmosphere with the ocean theme, video games, movies playing and toy giveaways make the experience a pleasant one for the kids! Highly recommend!!!
