Dr. Barry Bessleris a prosthodontist at Bessler & Kang, D.M.D. Prosthodontist, andgraduated with honors from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1998. While at Harvard, he received the merit award from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He subsequently graduated with honors and a certificate In Prosthodontics from Tufts University where he was awarded the Lloyd Miller Merit scholarship.
Dr. Bessler then served as professor and clinical instructor at Tufts Dental School and Boston University Continuing Education Department. He continues to lecture at conferences and study groups on achieving optimum results in the appearance and function of a smile.
As a prosthodontist, Dr. Besslers strength is rooted in the combination of his skills and understanding of the preservation of a healthy mouth, as well as the art and dynamics of a beautiful smile. His advanced prosthodontics training gives him the ability to visualize the whole picture and by working closely in collaboration with renowned general dentist and other specialists - he can achieve the patients aesthetic needs and create the desired result from start to finish.

Today I had my second cleaning appointment with the same Hygienist. The last was 3 months ago at my choosing; when I thought that she was pretty darn good. This time she exceeded my expectations even more! And for a retired dentist that's saying a lot. I think she's terrific! Then Dr. Bessler came in to examine me. He performed a very thorough head and neck oral cancer exam, oral decay exam, oral pathology exam, he examined how my jaws functioned and fit together. He also looked for spaces between my teeth where food could collect. His exam was very similar to the exams I used to perform. He is very thorough. There is nothing that I would have done difeerent. As I left I was again greeted with a friendly smile by Kim the office manager who answered my questions and made my next 3 month appointment.

Attention to details, an artist in matching teeth colors, shapes. He's patient and never compromised, even if it requires more time or work on his behalf. In addition, he keeps advising and directing my son's orthodontists and work with them so that the orthodontic treatment will be aligned with my son's bite. He keeps tracking my son's treatment and directing us as well with care like no other doctor ever did. He is an amazing doctor and his practice is the BEST we've ever seen. Thank you Dr. Bessler!!

I have been working with Dr. Bessler and Kim for many years. Dr. Bessler's attention to detail and expertise far outreaches other dentists with whom I have worked. He and his staff are friendly and considerate. They are great listeners too.

Dr. Bessler's office is by far the best one out there. The staff was incredible, polite and professional. They know what they're doing not like some other place's I have gone to in the past. Where the Doctor is great but the staff has no clue what they're doing. The business is only as good as the staff they hire. You can tell Dr.Bessler takes pride in his employees and knows how to pick them! After talking to the cute assistance...I believe her name was Therasy or Therese ( sorry for butchering your name) you could really see the respect his employees have for him. That alone reassured me that I picked the perfect spot!!!! Keep up the hard work :)

I recommend Dr Bessler highly without qualification. I have been his patient since he assumed the practice in Wayland some years ago. All my life I have had dental issues and seen many dental practitioners. Many crowns, implants, root canals, fillings, broken teeth, cross bite issues, veneers, periodontal procedures. Of all the practitioners I have known, I have the greatest respect of all for Dr Bessler and hold him in the highest esteem. Dr Bessler applies his broad dental and medical knowledge, sound judgment, cosmetic and lifestyle considerations based on listening attentively to his patients, and superior technical skills to each patient's situation. The options he sees are discussed with you, and your questions are answered, taking whatever time is needed. The result is a treatment plan customized for you. If a surgeon or periodontist or endodontist is part of your treatment plan, he spends a lot of time working with them on the treatment plan and coordinates the steps. In addition, I never have had to return to have any correction. I just had 8 new crowns placed - 4 in front on top, 4 in front below them. They fit better, feel better, and look better than my original teeth! All of this puts him at the pinnacle of his field. I can not recommend him highly enough. I find it significant, too, that other dental professionals who look in my mouth ooo and ah - literally - at what they see, remarking on the precision of the work product. In fact, even Dr Bessler's temps are so good that they get as much praise from dental professionals as his permanent work product. His office staff and assistant(s) are wonderful to work with, compassionately working with you to accommodate your needs and showing genuine concern for you and your life. Sent from my iPhone
