Dr. Bert received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, and continued on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Marquette University, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his pediatric dentistry residency and received his specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry from the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin before returning to Honolulu to enter private practice.

Dr. Bert has earned the honor of Fellow of the American College of Dentists, as well as Fellow and Master of the American Society of Dentistry for Children. He is a past President of the Honolulu County Dental Society, and serves on various dental advisory committees.

Dr. David completed his pre-dental studies from the University of Washington in Seattle before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at from Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed his pediatric dentistry residency and received his specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF). In addition, he earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Oral Biology. Following his specialty training he received additional training in oral medicine from UCSF, and trained in the Oral Medicine Department at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle before returning to Honolulu to enter private practice.

Dr. David is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry, and has earned the honor of Fellow & Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). He also received the California Society of Dentistry for Children, Eric B. Bystrom D.D.S. Memorial Pediatric Dentistry Award for Excellence in the Treatment of Special Needs Patients. Dr. David's research has been published nationally in the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. David is a member of the Cleft Palate Clinic at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, and also serves on various dental advisory committees, including the HawaiiDental Service dental advisory committee. Dr. David is also a volunteer faculty in pediatric dentistry at The Queen's Medical Center's General Practice Residency program.

Dr. Mark graduated Cum Laude from Santa Clara University in California with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Combined Sciences before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed a residency in General Dentistry at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, and continued his education at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF). At UCSF, he completed his residency in pediatric dentistry and received his specialty certificate while serving as Chief Resident of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, he earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Oral Biology before returning to Honolulu to enter private practice.

Dr. Mark was awarded theCalifornia Society of Dentistry for Children, Eric B. Bystrom D.D.S. Memorial Pediatric Dentistry Award for Excellence in the Treatment of Special Needs Patients. In addition, he is also a past President of the Honolulu County Dental Society.

Dr. Mark has made numerous television appearances on the KHON Morning News 'Ask the Expert' segment, and has appeared on camera and as the dental consultant to 'Building Blocks for Tots', a local television program developed for parents and young children.

Dr. Mark is a volunteer facultyin pediatric dentistry at The Queen's Medical Center's General Practice Residency program. In addition, he is an Associate Professor in Pediatric Dentistry at the UCSF Dental School.

Dr. Jenni was born and raised in Honolulu, HI, and is a graduate of Iolani School. She graduated from the combined, accelerated B.A./ D.D.S. program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa UpsilonDental Honor Society and was also awarded the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-doctoral Student Award.

She then pursued and completed her residency in pediatric dentistry atthe University of California-San Francisco (UCSF), and also earned a Master of Science (M. S.) in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. While at UCSF, she was also awarded the Eric B. Bystrom D.D.S. Memorial Pediatric Dentistry Award for Excellence in the Treatment of Special Needs Patients.

Dr. Jenni has been in private practice since moving back to Hawaii in 2007. She is excited for this new opportunity to continue to care for patients as she joins the Pediatric Dental Groupteam. Dr. Jenni will be seeing patients at both our Honolulu and Lihue offices beginning in June 2014.

Born and raised on Kauai, Dr. Chun is a graduate of Waimea High School. After doing her undergraduate work at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, Dr. Chun went on to dental school at the University of Iowa. Following dental school, she returned to Hawaii to complete the General Practice Residency at The Queens Medical Center-Dental Clinic. Shen then went to UCLA for her specialty residency training in Pediatric Dentistry. After completing her training, Dr. Chun has been in private practice in both California and Hawaii.
