In 1999, Dr. Zina Berry founded her Syracuse practice and since then she has significantly raised the level of quality at Berry Good Dental Care. This has been done by improving the level of dental care bythe use of technology, the efficiency of scheduling and billing, and the atmosphere of the office and treatment rooms.
Dr. Berry has pursued extensive other professional education, including training in the use of Cerec Technology. She is a member of the Fifth District Dental Society of the State of New York and of the New York State Dental Association.
He received his DDS degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2018. He also completed a General Practice Residency program at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2019, where he received additional training in restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, pediatric, hospital dentistry and emergency dental medicine. He is an active member in the ADA, Onondaga County Dental Society, and 5th District Dental Society.
Tasia joined Berry Good Dental Care in the summer of 2010. Her bubbly personality and brilliant smile will welcome you to our practice. She is a graduate of New York City High School, Brooklyn, NY and pursued a career as a dental assistant through the BOCES program in Syracuse NY. She has a classy style in this field which exudes confidence and great customer service skills. We are excited to have her as a part of our team. Tasia and her family reside in the City of Syracuse.
Joanie recently joined our staff in January 2013 with 20+ years in dentistry. She is from Long Island and also spent 10 years in Houston, TX where she enjoyed working in a dental office and providing patient care. Joanie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a welcome addition to our staff.
Patique joined the Berry Good Dental Care team in February of 2019. She is a graduate from the Boces Dental Assistant Program and Interned here at Berry Good. She started off as a Dental Assistant and soon after promoted to Financial Coordinator due to her Dental knowledge and Customer Service Skills. Patique resides in the Syracuse area with her two little boys. She enjoys Hiking and camping. Were thrilled to have her as part of our team.
Leanna grew up in Northern New York State with her five siblings. She moved to the Syracuse area to attend Onondaga Community College for Dental Hygiene, where she graduated in 2003. After practicing for 10 years in the field, Leanna chose to get her Bachelors of Technology from SUNY Canton. In her spare time, Leanna likes to travel and experience new foods and cultures, which she feels has helped her understand people better.
Allison, a native of Central NY, joined Berry Good in October 2020 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Allison graduated from SUNY Broome in 2005 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked in general dentistry, periodontics, and orthodontics throughout her career. She really loves helping people improve their smile and confidence. Allison stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education courses regularly and obtained her Level I Laser Certification in November 2020.
Allison has a passion for going on Mission trips and has been to Honduras twice to provide dental care to people who have no access to any Healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, crafting, baking, and playing with her 4 legged fur baby, Yuki, the Pomeranian who is always smiling!
Sejla joined Berry Good Dental Care in 2017. She is a graduate from SUNY Canton in 2016, where she pursued her career as a dental hygienist. Upon graduation, Sejla was awarded the Golden Scaler of 2016. She loves working with people, and treats everyone like her own family. Sejla and her family reside in Utica, NY.
Crystal is a hidden jewel who came to Berry Good in February 2011 with previous experience in dental assisting and a desire to learn. Crystal is a graduate of Henninger High School in Syracuse NY. She has a unique set of skills. She enjoys playing bingo and hiking. She is sensitive, compassionate and has the ability to anticipate our patients needs. Crystal is a great asset to our team. She resides with her family in Syracuse.
Nicole Seib joined Berry Good Dental team in February 2021 as a certified dental assistant. She is a lifelong resident of Syracuse, N.Y. She attended High School at Fowler graduating in 2000. Nicole future her job career attending Boces Dental assisting program and obtained her certificate in February 2011. She decided to go into this field because she is very caring and compassionate and wanted to help people. She strives to be a valuable member of the dental care team and provides her patients with a great level of patient care.
Andrea started her career at Berry Good Dental Care in April of 2019. She recently graduated from the dental assisting program from BOCES in Syracuse in March of 2019. Her sense of humor brings joy to the office. During her free time she enjoys staying active by working out and hiking with her dog. Andrea resides in Syracuse with her significant other and dog.

Doctor dropped instrument on floor and then picked up and put it back on the same tray with clean instruments. And said I needed 6 crowns, went to another office and they said I didn't have a cavity.

On my first visit, the hygienist put down her tools halfway through and called in a dentist and they both acted like all my teeth were going to fall apart and I needed massive amounts of expensive dental work. They tried to get me to pay $1,000 in advance for a $3,000 root canal. I got out of there as fast as possible and found a new dentist. I have excellent teeth 18 months later, no root canals, just 6 month cleanings. One of the women behind the desks hates her life and will attempt to make you hate yours as well.

Great experience with cleaning but horrible experience attempting to set up appointments for extractions. I was expected to pay over 1,000 dollars for work I didn't understand and they never did a pay authorization with my insurance. I never once met Dr. Berry and the lady who works the desk told me that I most likely won't receive care. I just don't think that's how you should professionally handle serious dental concerns. I will keep coming here for cleaning but I refuse to pay 1200 dollars for unexplained work.

I do not normally share reviews but since it was positive reviews that drew us here I am obligated to warn others. I have no issues with the hygienists. Dr. West is excellent. He is professional and does not do anything you do not need. I saw Dr.West 7 months ago and he did not have any concern with my teeth. I had an appointment 6 months later and Dr.Berry tells me I have 4 cavities on 4 molars and need fillings. I have never had a cavity in my life. I had no dental pain and the X-rays looked good. She is very aggressive and will do things that do not need to be done. Unfortunately I did not get a second opinion. Now with 4 fillings, I have dental pain but am afraid of going back to her. I do not understand how Dr. West, who has a much more conservative approach can work in the same office as Dr. Berry.

Been a patient with Berry Good for over a year now. Suffering from major dental anxiety, but every member of the practice I've seen has been incredibly comforting, and had helped ease my worries considerably over time! Most recent cleaning with Sejla went smoothly, very friendly and accommodating! I'm grateful to everyone there for all the help they've given me!

Despite the cost of dental work running anywhere between a couple hundred to a few thousand, I had a pleasant experience at Barry Good Dental. The care, passion, and transparency of the dental team is exceptional. I've been seen by Drs. West and Berry and have felt well taken care of. Recently, I had a pleasant experience with Andrea as she prepped both my crowns and removed cement from a temporary, and made sure that my bit was in line. I do not believe there's a perfect dental office considering the cost of dental work (at least in the U.S.) can also be prohibitive for many folks. Still, I recommend Berry Good, especially for those who have a history of negative experiences at the dentist.

I can't recommend Dr. Berry and her team enough! They are always welcoming, professional, and willing to answer questions. I got my permanent crowns today for two implants, and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Berry and Crystal are the best! I'm also incredibly grateful to Kortney and Tasia who've helped me navigate my care plan, appointments, and switching insurance. Thank you, Berry Good Dental Care!

I've been coming here for years and have pretty high-maintenance teeth. In the last two years I've had issues with my wisdom teeth, chipped front teeth, fillings, jaw pain, and recently had to have a root canal. Dr. West is the best & I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a dentist. And thank you to Kathy for everything today!

I was a patient at Berry Good Dental for several years but because of insurance left the practice for a few years. I am now back at Berry Good Dental and feel like I've come home. The quality of care that you receive here is exceptional. I have had several post major dental work visits w/ Crystal and she is the best! She always has a smile, always extremely efficient w/ her time and mine, and so knowledgeable. Like I said, the BEST!
