Center for Cosmetic Dentistry is a Lindenwold based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. I am Bernard Genet. I graduated from Temple Dental School. I served in the Air Force as a dentist for two years in Louisiana and then moved to the New Jersey area where I have practiced preventative and cosmetic dentistry for over 30 years. During that time I have enjoyed meeting and continuing to treat many families and their children.

Claudia is a part-time receptionist who has extensive experience with front desk and assisting duties. She is also very accomplished in all aspects of dental insurance and has developed a warm rapport with the many patients she has seen through the many years of being part of our team. People often ask 'Where is Claudia?' when they arrive on one of her off-days. Claudia enjoys taking care of her grandchildren in her free time and she loves animals of all kinds.
Patty is a full-time receptionist who joined our practice a few years ago. She has over 25 years of dental experience in a few different offices. This experience gives her a broad range of knowledge that enables her to answer our patients questions about treatment and insurance issues. Her pleasant demeanor is very welcoming and relaxing.
Marie is a Registered Dental Assistant - licensed to perform expanded functions (the highest level of certification a dental assistant can achieve). She has been an assistant for over 35 years and has worked at this office since 1983. Marie has developed a close relationship with our patients through her warm and gregarious personality as well as being a very efficient and dedicated employee - a very welcome member to our dental family. Very often people will ask for Marie if they do not see her when they are seated.
The team at Center for Cosmetic Dentistry believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.
It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.
Understanding the importance of these regular dental exams, the staff at Center for Cosmetic Dentistry work to make each patient extremely comfortable. This includes being welcoming and kind while performing dental treatments in a way that is painless and relaxing. Patients visit our dentist office because they trust us to do just that take care of their teeth and gums, gently. The majority of our patients are local and come from the greater Lindenwold area, we also see patients that are looking for gentle dental care.
Seniors, on the other hand, often struggle with gum disease and oral infections. As people age, their teeth can become weaker and infected more easily. Bone loss is incredibly common with seniors and by conducting regular dental exams, the team at Center for Cosmetic Dentistry can help seniors to have strong teeth and reduce the risk of them falling out. Since over seventy percent of U.S. adults suffer from tooth loss, preventative care is important.
A. Primary, or 'baby,' teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.
A. First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.
A. Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles that could get caught in the teeth, causing cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.
A. Have your family dentist evaluate the fluoride level of your child's primary source of drinking water. If your child is not getting enough fluoride internally through water (especially if the fluoride level is deficient or if your child drinks bottled water without fluoride), then we may prescribe fluoride supplements.
A. Soft plastic mouthguards can be used to protect teeth, lips, cheeks and gums from sport related injuries. A custom-fitted mouthguard will protect your teeth from injuries and even provide protection from severe injuries to the head.
A. There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Family dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which you and your family are exposed. Lead aprons and high-speed film are used to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation. Digital x-rays provide an even greater level of protection by using up to 90 percent less radiation.

I had traumatic childhood experiences with health care & recently bad with dental. But honestly this dentist is absolutely 100% the old school saying a "good doctor" I completely felt relaxed by his staff & himself- he is patient waiting for you to truly be numb before proceeding. Everyone here is compassionate & caring. I can't say enough- I was scared of dentists- but finally I found a place where they practice true health "care" & you won't feel like just another number. Thanks Doctor G!!! Just an update, I had a cavity filled & Marie has the perfect touch of kindness as a Dental Assistant & Dr. G was amazing again!!! I have trouble getting numb- and I value his PATIENCE so much. If you fear dentistry, you need to go to dr. Genet because He will give you a loving experience without suffering .

New Jersey Top Dentist for sure!! I have been afraid of the dentist for years but Dr. Genet and his team has changed that forever!! Getting that needle was so terrifying to me but he did something and I promise everyone I felt nothing but a little His team takes pride in making sure no one is ever in pain no matter if it is a cleaning to getting teeth pulled. They have completely achieved that with me!! I want to thank everyone in the office, even Patty up front for all her work in approvals. I wish I could remember tha name of Dr. Genet's assistant today because she is the nicest person ever. Thanks for wiping the tears from my eyes and rubbing my arm to calm me down from being so afraid. She went over and above the call of duty. Thanks again Dr. Genet, your a perfect 10 dentist in my book. I look forward to getting my smile back by you and your team. Happy New Year!

I was so impressed and happy with the infection prevention measures all of the staff took to keep every patient safe during this visit. During the pandemic it can be scary to go to doctors or dentists but they did a wonderful job protecting and serving their patients! The staff and Dr Genet are so pleasant and take time to explain everything so well! I felt comfortable, safe and cared about.

It is so difficult to find great health care providers and I must say that I hit the jackpot with Dr. Genet! He is so caring and understanding, it's refreshing to find a dentist who actually cares more about your health then your insurance budget. The complete staff is also caring they make you feel like family and assist you with any concerns. If anyone is looking for an amazing dentist look no further the reviews accurate.

Dr.Genet an his staff are very friendly and all go above an beyond to help patients I for one love going to see Dr. Genet he is friendly an he also knows his stuff i first started going to him for my TMD and he did such a great job with that that I switched from my previous dentist due to the fact that my previous dentist made one of my teeth worse and Dr.Genet answers any and all question I have I would not want to switch dentist any more I am actually going to his office today at 1030. I also love the fact that my appointment was originally monday in due to the pain getting worse they were able to use with my appointment to today and I would recommend everyone to go to doctor Genets office

Dr. Genet goes above and beyond for his patients his staff is extremely kind and were very patient with me , the work he does is amazing!!! Needless to say I no longer have that fear as well as I have found my permanent dentist. Thanks again!!!
