I love working with patients to improve the look and function of their smile. With every case, I enjoy creating a treatment plan that takes care of individual needs. Orthodontics allows me to use art and science to better the lives of my friends and neighbors. Patients get so interested in their treatment and they want to learn. I believe in honesty and openness with our patients so I sit down with them to discuss all treatment options. I am grateful that they put their trust in us.
I have spent my whole life living in Northern Virginia and feel this is the greatest community on Earth. I attended the University of Virginia for my Bachelors degree, and attained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. I received specialty training in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology at the Medical College of Georgia.
In my free time I enjoy playing tennis and biking. I also have fun playing, coaching, and officiating basketball in the local McLean leagues. When the weather is nice, I try my best at mastering my golf game. When I need a real challenge, I love to solve crossword puzzles and other brain teasers.
Dr. Mohamed (Moe) Masoud was born in Fairfax VA in 1979, and completed his orthodontic specialty training and doctorate degree at The Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2007. Dr. Masoud was awarded the prestigious Harry Sicher award by the American Association of Orthodontics, and the Joseph Henry Award for clinical and research excellence by Harvard. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has served as a clinical examiner for the Board.
In addition to maintaining a private practice, Dr. Masoud has served as the orthodontic clinic director at the Boston University, Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and the Director of Graduate Orthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. His work on growth prediction and 3D facial imaging has been published and presented at national and international meetings.
His current research focuses on 3D facial imaging, sleep apnea, and expanding the use of clear aligners to treat problems with jaw size including cases that require jaw surgery. In 2018, he won the InvisalignChallenge in the Teen category, and two of his cases have been awarded 1st and 2nd place in the Multidisciplinary category at the 2020 InvisalignUniversity Challenge.

Ive been with Berman & Masoud Orthodontics since 2016. I love beinghere because the doctors and team members are all fun to work with and make me laugh. I also enjoy greeting the patients and parents as theywalk through the door. There are always new faces coming in and I love getting to know them all.
I was born in Richmond, VA and grew up locally in McLean. I went to college in Miami, The U! I've also lived in Harrisburg, PA, Dallas, TX, Rochester, NY. Living in all these different places has allowed me to appreciate the diveristy we have in our area.
I started at Berman and Masoud orthodontics over 16years ago and consider thisplace my second home. Drs. Berman and Lee are excellent orthodontists and I am confident in and proud of the work they do.
I was born and raised in Bolivia and live here now with my son,Javier and our dog, Mayla. In my free time I enjoy being outdoorsspending it with my family, spoiling my dog, salsa dancing, running, paddle boarding and drinking coffee.
I became a part of Berman & Masoud Orthodontics in 2013. As one of our orthodontic assistants, I work alongside the doctors while they take care of our patients. Since I have children of my own, I understand how important it is to be patient and gentle, and I treat all our patients how I would treat my own kids. I really enjoy working with our young patients and helping them achieve beautiful smiles.
I have been with the practice for over 15years and enjoy treating my patients and watching their progress. Drs. Berman & Lee treat me like family which gives me motivation to give the best possible care to all those that I treat.My team members and I all work well together to make our patients happy with their smiles.
When I am not working I love to spend time with my family. I have threewonderful daughters and a new granddaughter Olivia who is just 6 months old. I have a dog named Jake and he is my loyal companion. I enjoybeingactive in my church, doing Zumba and love to shop, especially for shoes.
I am the newest member of the team and joined in early 2020. I feel it is so magical how Drs. Berman & Lee & staff improve smiles every day.. They are true professionals, extremely positive, passionate and supportive. The overall atmosphere is very welcoming and pleasant.

I appreciate the work of each staff member at Drs. Berman and Masoud's office in Falls Church but am so grateful for the stellar orthodontic work by Dr. Berman. My teeth and smile are looking like my former self and making me smile more broadly. I had some chips he expertly repaired. Also wish to thank Dr. Sapperstein my dentist, right around the corner, for recommending Dr. Berman. Keep up the excellent work. This office is constantly being cleaned and the whole office operates like a well oiled machine. Bottomline: Top notch melding of science and artistry. I am elated.

Berman and Masoud Orthodontics is a very wonderful office. The doctors are so attentive and take their time with you and never make you feel rushed no matter how many people are in the chairs, your time is your time. From the front desk, Robyn to Pam to Karla and all the dental assistants, you all deserve a shout out and are very accommodating, professional and fun. They are a family and treat you as such. They are up front with costs and dont hide anything like other places and the treatment doesnt have an expiration date with more costs attached which other places do. They make sure you are happy with the results and carefully explain and answer all of your questions. I have never felt better about my teeth and smile and I would recommend them to anyone who asks me. Dr. Masoud even said congratulations when I finished my treatment, it was very sweet and a pleasant surprise. The country music they play in the office made it so real and relaxing to not have to hear that elevator music which is so typical something they are not. Great office, Great staff. Please note this a two doctor office and you get whichever doctor is available at each appointment. This is significant because in my case I had very different experiences with each doctor. 1)Dr. Berman: Do not see this doctor (or go to this practice) if you have an opinion about your teeth. His ego is massive and he operates with a condescending "the patient is always wrong" attitude. Even the simplest questions or concerns instantly turned into a belittling debate. It was exhausting dealing with him and I never felt like the right decisions were being made under his care because he was so distracted about proving he was "right". 2) Dr. Lee: Has a calmer and more respectful bedside manner. Are my teeth straight? After nearly 2 years, yes. Could they be better? Quite possibly, yes. I felt that on at least a couple occasions things were missed (or got sloppy) which cost me time and impacted my final results. I get the sense these two doctors don't always read each other's notes carefully (or take good notes?)hence some of the confusion. This review is for adult Invisalign. I will not be sending my children here.

I am so grateful to Dr Berman! I went to two TMJ specialists in the area and they charged a ridiculous amount for just a consultation, and they recommended thousands of dollars in uninsured treatment/surgery. I went to Dr Berman after my dentist recommended him. D Berman gives FREE consultation and his proposed treatment is very effective. I feel like a different person without my TMJ pain! Dr Berman is pretty honest too and won't recommend treatments just to get more money. The only downside to his practice is that his office is packed with people and you will wait upwards of an hour or more to see him. An hour of my time is a small price to pay in exchange for a lifetime of TMJ pain! Go for a consultation -- you have nothing to lose!

Over the course of the past 7 years our two sons have been in the care of Drs Berman and Lee. Everyone in the practice has been kind, communicative, and very proficient. We are nearing the end of our orthodontia needs, but we would return to Berman and Lee in a heartbeat should the need arise.
