Dr. Mike was born and raised in Bennington, VT, and currently lives in the Berkshires with his wife, Laura, and their three wonderfulchildren: Sean, Alex, and Samantha.He is thrilled to be closeto Bennington and to continue the tradition of excellence that Dr. John Hanson provided for the residents of Berkshire County for over four decades.
In 1995, Dr. Mike graduated magna cum laude from St. Michaels Collegewith a B.A. in Psychology.He was inducted into the National Catholic Honors Society, Delta Epsilon Sigma, and the National Psychology Honor Society, Psi-Chi.Following college, he pursued his passion for soccer by playing professionally for five years in the USISL.He enjoyssharing his enthusiasm for the game as a trainer and coach for youth soccer teams.
Returning to academic life, Dr. Mike received his DMD from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2004 andhe was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.Dr. Mike then pursued a three-year specialty program at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN where he received his certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2007.
Dr. Mike is committed to providing the most advanced treatment options. In 2019 he earned the Nations Top 1% Provider Status for Invisalign and is also a Diamond Provider. Dr. Mike was also one of ten orthodontists in New England selected by Invisalign to participate in the Future Elite Program in 2017. He has extensive experience with all leading self-ligation bracket systems as well as temporary anchorage devices. By regularly participating in continuing education, both on a local and national level, he is able to offer patients the best and most efficient treatment options available.
Orthodontics combines my interests in psychology,science, and art.I love what I do because Imeet people of all ages and have an opportunity to connect with them.Learning about patients interests, achievements, goals, and what is happening in their lives makes the office a fun and lively place. I have been part of the Berkshire Orthodontic Team since Dr. Mike took over from Dr. Hanson and I have been working in this office for over 30 years. It is a privilege for me to be the Treatment Coordinator. I love meeting new patients and their families. With several years of training and through continuing education courses, I am confident in educating our patients and families in all aspects of orthodontic treatment. It is very rewarding for me to witness the patients transformation that comes as a result of treatment.

We have three wonderful children who keep us busy exploring, building towers meant to be knocked down, playing countless games of Candy Land, coaching and playing soccer, hiking, reading, playing music, singing and dancing . . . We love spending time with them, our families, friends and enjoying the rich culture and natural beauty of the Berkshires.
