Oral and Maxilliofacial surgeon, Dr. William J. Bontempi practices oral surgery in Hadley, Longmeadow and Westfield, MA. Dr. Bontempi is a native of the western Massachusetts area, born and raised in nearby Greenfield, MA. He attended Greenfield Public Schools and graduated in 1986 from Greenfield High School. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 1990 and entered Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in the fall of that year. In 1994, he received his DMD from Tufts and began his surgical residency at the University of Connecticut. In 1997, he received his MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and in 1999 he received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He joined Berkshire Facial Surgery immediately upon completing his residency. In 2003, he was board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was elected Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Bontempi has a strong clinical interest in dental implants and implant related procedures and has lectured regionally on implants, specifically on Immediate Implant Techniques and Immediate Provisionalization.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Stephen J. Paolella practices oral surgery in Hadley, Longmeadow and Westfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Paolella was born and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island, graduating from Cranston High School in 1988. For undergraduate studies, Dr. Paolella attended Boston University earning a Bachelor of Science in Physiology in 1992. He then spent the next ten years at the University of Connecticut where he earned a dental (1996) and a medical (1999) degree. After graduating from medical school, he completed a two-year general surgery program at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Paolellas professional training was completed in 2002 when he finished his Oral and Maxillofacial surgical residency. He has been a member of Berkshire Facial Surgery, Inc. since his graduation.
Dr. Paolella practices all scopes of oral and maxillofacial surgery, but has special interests in Dental Implants, and Oral Pathology. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is currently a member of numerous local and national organizations. He is also an active staff member at Baystate Noble Hospital located in Westfield, MA. Dr. Paolella enjoys all types of sports especially baseball and football. He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife Donna and their two children.

Great experience with Dr. Bontempi and his whole staff last week for dental implant surgery. Everyone there is friendly, compassionate, and most importantly, highly skilled in their roles.

I had an excellent experience! Bri was very welcoming, explained everything clearly. The Dr. was great, they gave me some nitrous oxide to relax, then anesthesia, I had a tooth removed and implant installed in one visit, walked out the door pain free. Pain did come later in the day, but not terrible. Great experience, thank you!!

Excellent care was provided !! The front office to the surgery to the recovery was Excellent . Dr Bontempi was Awesome his nurse very caring !! I came from Florida to go to Dr Bontempi office for implant , bone graft and tooth pulled couldn't be happier

Dr Bontempi did my wisdom teeth a few years ago. Surgery was textbook, recovery was almost painless, and his personality makes him a joy to work with. I wouldn't go to anyone else for future oral surgery needs.

The staff are all extremely patient, kind, and helpful. Dr. Paollela answers all your questions and is careful and congenial in conversation. This is the second surgery I've had with him and both times recovery has been exactly as it should be. I recommend the practice with no reservations.

Highly recommend Berkshire Facial Surgery. Their office staff was so compassionate with my elderly mother last year handling a tooth extraction. She is not a fan of any dental work, and they made sure she was comfortable and pain free. A follow-up phone call to check in on her, by Dr Bontempi himself, was quite a surprise and much appreciated. I just went for an evaluation to determine if an implant was the right procedure for me. Dr Bontempi once again was easy to talk with and clearly explained what would be involved. Very honest and upfront about what would be best for my particular needs. So glad we found this medical office. Thank you all!
