Berks Oral Surgery, Ltd. is a full spectrum Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice of the highest quality, with special emphasis on dental implants. Our group was founded by the late Dr. James J. Ciabattoni (1932-1994) in 1975. In that same year he was joined by Dr. Erwin H. Wolf, II and Dr. John J. Ciabattoni. Dr. Andrew M. Rowan joined our group in 1989 and Dr. Fred J. Ciabattoni came aboard in 1991. Dr. Steven D. Fallon joined the practice in 2007. Since 2013 three new doctors have joined our group: Dr. David L. Winans (2013), Dr. Geoffrey S. Zinberg (2015) and Dr. David Sibley (2021). This year we celebrate the 46th anniversary of our practice.
Our practice began on Penn Avenue in Wyomissing. We moved to our present Berkshire Blvd., location in 1991. Our building was planned, designed and built specifically for oral surgery. In 2016, we opened a second, state-of-the-art facility in Exeter, on Perkiomen Avenue. It features a specialized operatory suite that helps facilitate collaborations with your dentist when needed. With the best equipment and instruments available, we have over 15,000 square feet of space, featuring the latest technology available.
All of our doctors are Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and are certified in Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Our entire surgical staff is certified in Basic Life Support.
Our doctors keep current with continuing education and are on the cutting edge of the latest advances and techniques in surgery and anesthesia. We are a true team, with daily discussions of cases and of special needs of patients. At Berks Oral Surgery our doctors have a combined experience of over 115 years!
Dr. Steven D. Fallon was born and raised in Spring Township and is a graduate of Wilson High School. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania in 1996, Dr. Fallon began his dental career at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and received his DMD in 2001. During that time, he received the Theodore Blum Oral Surgery award recognizing him for his clinical excellence in that field. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the Medical College of Virginia in 2005 and has been practicing full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Fallon is board certified and enjoys practicing all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Fallons comprehensive training included all aspects of the specialty, with an emphasis on dental implant surgery, removal of wisdom teeth, corrective jaw surgery, outpatient general anesthesia and facial cosmetic surgery. He also embarked on mission trips to Honduras where he treated underprivileged children born with dentofacial deformities, cleft lips and palates. Dr. Fallon maintains surgical privileges and is an active staff member at the Reading Hospital.
He now lives in Sinking Spring with his wife and their children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to the Jersey shore, surfing, sailing, and playing golf. Dr. Fallon is extremely excited to be back home in the Reading area and is looking forward to becoming involved in the Berks County community.
Dr. Winans is thrilled to be back in his home town and to be a part of the Berks Oral Surgery team. He is a native of Berks county and a graduate of Wyomissing Area High School. Following high school, he went on to attend Penn State University where he was a walk on member of the varsity soccer team and graduated with a bachelors degree in finance. Dr. Winans moved back to the Philadelphia area to complete his dental degree, graduating summa cum laude from Temple University School of Dentistry. He remained in center city Philadelphia where he received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. During residency Dr. Winans served as chief resident, and completed his program in 2013. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and in the process of becoming an active member of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the America Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Reading Hospital Medical Staff.
Some of Dr. Winans specialty training and interests include corrective jaw surgery, treatment of oral/facial tumors and cysts with advanced reconstruction, facial trauma, temporomandibular joint disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, implant rehabilitation, as well as dental extractions. His extensive training allows him to provide complete patient comfort through the utilization of general anesthesia and state of the art patient monitoring.Dr. Winansis board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

I totally would recommend Berks Oral Surgery! I am so not good anything to do with my mouth, anxiety plus! But I have to say from the time I walked in the door everyone was super friendly and nice! The techs and Doctor was so comforting through the whole procedure! Thank you to everyone who made this experience as painless as possible!

Bait and switch. Double billing double appointments billing for x-rays Etc that had already been done, bill patients for service not performed . do yourself a favor go somewhere else, anywhere else.

Miss both blood vain.on day three was out pain med call them and said some call u back never happen had go to second dentist finally hook me up something that would take down the swelling.

This review is overdue Dr.Fallon did my wisdom tooth extraction years ago, when i was a teenager About 19yrs old, I remember i was in so much pain and scared and Dr.Fallon and his staff all made sure i was comfortable and explained each step, & when i woke up the Assistants took great care of me as well. Now fast forward a few yrs later Im now 26 & living in Seattle, and still have recommended my family and friends to come see Dr.Fallon for their extractions. Ive had 3 family members come here and have great experiences. Even over the phone setting up an appt the front desk is so nice, so if your looking for a great doctor and amazing place to have your wisdom teeth removed come here they are caring and gentle.

If I could give no stars I would! I called to ask about wisdom teeth being removed and the women who answered the phone was very rude. It's a shame because I've heard good things about them doing wisdom teeth removal but she just put me off and I will be going elsewhere.

Let me start off by saying, I have horrible anxiety going to the dentist. I required a tooth extraction in July 2018 which was done at the Exeter office. Dr. Sibley was great! Dr. Sibley never once rushed me out of his office during follow up appointments and trust me I always had questions given I take a blood thinner. I really appreciate his bedside manners which always kept me at ease! I don't recall everyone's names but this office has a welcoming atmosphere and the young lady at front desk was always smiling and knew me by name prior to getting to the desk. There was also a male technician/assistant after my surgery who was also nice and answered my questions. Thank you everyone! Chantel.

Having a dental implant was new to me but the team at Berks Oral surgery put me at ease with their skill and professionalism. Dr. Fallon answered all my questions and gave me as much time as I needed, never in a rush to leave the room. Highly recommended!
