Dr. Jackie Berkowitz is a board certified orthodontist who maintains a private orthodontic practice in Gahanna, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. Dr. Berkowitz specializes in providing orthodontic services to children and adults. While he provides the most advanced comprehensive child and adolescent therapy, including pre-esthetic, pre-implant, pre-restorative, and pre-surgical therapies. His practice goals include obtaining outstanding functional and esthetic results while providing an exceptional on-time patient treatment experience in communication and cooperation with the family dentist and other specialty practices as needed. Dr. Berkowitz has been involved with the treatment of families from all over central Ohio and statewide. Many of his patients have included former athletes and their families from The Ohio State University.
A well sought and respected lecturer, Dr. Berkowitz regularly addresses orthodontic, dental, and dental specialty groups in the US and abroad on a variety of clinical and practice management subjects. His clinical topics range from a general overview of basic to advance diagnosis, treatment planning, and basic mechanotherapy, to more specialized therapies in the treatment of complex skeletal and interdisciplinary problems. Dr. Berkowitz provides continuing education programs on multiple topics and has provided a significant number of continuing education programs over many years at The Ohio State University.
A respected and enthusiastic teacher with over 38 years of teaching expertise and clinical experience, Dr. Berkowitz was a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthodontics at The Ohio State University and has taught, and continues to teach, orthodontics at multiple universities, orthodontic and dental societies and study clubs.
Dr. Berkowitz earned his B.S. from The Ohio State University and his D.D.S. and M.S. degrees and his Certificate in Orthodontics from Case Western Reserve University. He is a Diplomate (re-certified) of the American Board of Orthodontics and is very active in local and national orthodontic and dental associations.

I have worked at Berkowitz Orthodontics for 20 years. I enjoy helping our patients financially to make orthodontic treatment as affordable as possible. I love working with our amazing staff that are like my second family. I am married to Bruce and we have 2 children, Ciera and Mitchell. They keep me busy with soccer and I enjoy spending time at their sports events and doing family things together on the weekends.
I have been Treatment Coordinator at Berkowitz Orthodontics for the past 21 years. Before joining the Berkowitz Orthodontic Team, I attended The Licking County Joint Vocational School where I studied Dental Assisting. I love my job and love communicating and helping new families become an active part of our practice. It's exciting to be a part of making a difference in our patients lives. I am married and have two beautiful children. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoy my daughter's sports.
I have been an Orthodontic Auxiliary at Berkowitz Orthodontics for 5 years. I consider all of my co-workers as family; and, most importantly I love working with our patients and seeing their beautiful smiles and happiness at the end of treatment. I attended C-Tec in Newark. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and planning my October 2020 wedding with my fiance, Phillip.
As Clinical Coordinator, I am the senior member of Berkowitz Orthodontics working for 41 years. I am married and have 2 grown children. I maintain active during my free time reading, walking and playing golf. On a special note, I am now seeing third generation patients of which I find very special.
I graduated from The Joint Vocational School (JVS) in 1999 with my Dental Assisting Degree. I then graduated from Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) in 2016 with my Associate of Arts Degree. I joined Berkowitz Orthodontics in 2000, as an Orthodontic Auxiliary and laboratory technician. The past 21 years has been amazing. My time away from work I love spending time with my husband and son, normally either at my sons baseball, football or basketball games.
I have worked at Berkowitz Orthodontics as an Orthodontic Auxiliary since 2013 and it has been an amazing experience. I attended C-Tec and I enjoy coming to work every day and seeing all of our wonderful patients and their beautiful outcomes. I love my work family and wouldnt want to work anywhere else.
I have been working at Berkowitz Orthodontics as an Orthodontic Auxiliary for 8 years. I love working with my coworkers and love seeing our patients. I have two children, Emma 16 and Peyton 13. In my spare time, I love watching my kids in sports and camping with them.
I am pleased and excited to have recently joined the Berkowitz Orthodontics team as a clinical auxiliary. As a treated Orthodontic patient at Berkowitz Orthodontics, I became interested in orthodontics as a career. I attended School for Dental Assisting to obtain a dental foundation, and I am going through the Berkowitz Orthodontics comprehensive training program. I look forward to help patients obtain confidence and satisfaction through a beautiful smile. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our one year old son, Rayn.
I have been a patient at Berkowitz Orthodontics for 12 years. I couldn 't have been happier with the 'Berkowitz Orthodontic' team. Now, I am a part of it. I started my journey here in May 2021. When I am not at work you can find me floating on the river with my kayak, jumping out of an airplane, or in my car on the way to a new vacation spot. Traveling has always been a significant part of my life. I have been to 39 states and 15 National Parks. I also enjoy little things in life like going to the gym, hanging out with friends and family, a good smoothie, and reading in my hammock.
I graduated the dental program at C-Tec in 2016. While I have been in the dental field for five years, I am very excited that I have just joined the Berkowitz Orthodontic TEAM. I will now be able to help patients obtain the smile they have always wanted. This is what I love most about my job. I have a daughter named Laney that I am so blessed to be able to come home from work every day to see. Lainey and I love being outside, going on shopping trips, and spending time with family.
