Dr. Benjamin Maldonado, a specialist in periodontics, has been proudly serving the Berkeley Heights community since 1995. He received his formal dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his periodontics residency from the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry.

Dr. Maldonado and his staff deliver the highest quality of periodontics care using state-of-the-art laser dentistry technology in a comfortable, caring atmosphere. Their goal is to provide you with the best available treatment options, reduce your anxiety and deliver pain-free treatment and exceptional results.

When Dr. Maldonado isnt seeing patients, he enjoys being with his wife, Lauren, a general dentist in Hillsborough Township, their two children and their dog. He also enjoys playing golf, tennis and travel.

She received her DMD degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts she received numerous awards including: Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry; Dr. James E. Royer, Oral Surgery Endowed Scholarship Recipient; Dr. Erling Johansen, Senior Student Research Endowed Scholarship Recipient; Best Overall National Presentation: Hinman Student Research Symposium.

She completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the Foundry Dental Center in Alabama where she became proficient at placing implants along with many other surgical procedures. Dr. Pantirer then practiced as a general dentist in Charleston, SC for two years. Thereafter, she completed a residency program in periodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and simultaneously obtained a Masters Degree in clinical dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Northeast Society of Periodontics.

Dr. Pantirers professional mission is to perform painless dental surgical procedures, deliver clinical care with a personal touch, and uphold a high standard of care for all of her patients. She and her husband David, who is from New Jersey, recently moved to Essex County, NJ. Dr. Pantirer is very excited to join Berkeley Periodontics and is looking forward to meeting all of the patients, providing dental implant therapy, and enhancing the periodontal health of the surrounding communities.
