Dr. Berg earned his DDS degree, cum laude, from the University of Maryland. A distinguished graduate, he was presented with membership to the Gorgas Odontological Society. He completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he received the Resident of the year award. Concurrently, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Berg went on to complete a Dental Anesthesiology Residency at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago.
He received his undergraduate education majoring in Zoology at The University of Washington. His professional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association, Pierce County Dental Society (past board member), the American Dental Society of Anesthesiologists (which he maintains diplomat status) and membership in the Academy of Osseo Integration and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Berg grew up in Tacoma where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. His interests include outdoor activities, snow skiing, golfing and spending time with his wife Jessica and twin girls Hailey and Allison.
Our office space was built specifically to maximize our ability to offer top level care to our patients. Central office and lab spaces are surrounded by a series of operatory rooms that are transparent and naturally-lit. These open rooms were designed to help decrease anxiety and stress and increase feelings of wellbeing for our patients.
We are committed to using the most up-to-date dental equipment and techniques. As part of our build out, we secured brand new equipment and some of the most comfortable dental chairs we could find. Having current technology allows us to be detailed and efficient in our work.
Knowing that each patient has their own preferences, we offer a menu of comfort options that include: on-demand entertainment options for the overhead televisions, blankets and neck pillows, noise-cancelling headphones, device chargers, and beverages. Dr. Berg's office is comfortable and has more amenities than I've seen in any other dentist office. The staff is friendly and courteous and Dr. Berg provides high quality dental care while treating his patients as though they are family!

I waited years to return to the dentist - wasted all that insurance , and so much time hating my teeth in photos. Dr Berg and team are absolutely the most caring and expert team EVER. Don't let those bad experiences ruin what could be a great smile! I've had 12 teeth restored so far, it's the best investment I've ever made. Nothing but gratitude for the wonderful work 10/10 will never delay a trip to the dentist again.

I am so thankful that Dr. Berg does I.V sedation!!! I had no idea that being sedated for dental work was an option until my friend told me about Dr. Berg. Before I found him, I refused to go to the dentist because I was so scared. Previous dentists could never get me numb and it caused me to have severe anxiety. At my first visit at Berg Dental Group, they took x-rays and Dr. Berg did an exam. The x-rays were way easier than I remembered because they have more comfortable equipment than I had ever seen before. Then Dr. Berg did my exam and we came up with a plan to start fixing my teeth. The front office staff was so helpful when it came to figuring out my insurance. The day I had my work done, I remember Dr. Berg starting the I.V. but I don't remember much of the appointment after that. I'm extremely happy that I got an entire section of my mouth fixed in one appointment. Thank you, Berg Dental Group, for helping me get my smile back.

I had been a patient for several years but at a recent visit I was denied lidocaine - despite paying cash - on the grounds that the pain should be manageable to me. I don't exactly "do" pain...especially when I'm paying. I am not allergic to lidocaine. I am aware of the consequences of negatively reviewing a dentist so I'll mention I have secured dental care at another practice, which was why I waited to post this review. I have had no future problems getting the complete comfort I want; there is no excuse for not simply giving the patient a numbing injection when told to.
