My passion for dentistry comes from my daily interactions with my patients. Every patient brings a unique story and perspective and I truly enjoythe interaction.I feel that knowing people and establishing a trusting relationship helps me serve you better.
As a dentist, I strive to educate my patients about the connection between oral health and whole body health. Understanding this inter-relationship allows you to value your oral health and make good decisions that affect your entire body. It gives me great satisfaction when I know my patientsare going to have a better life using knowledge we have shared.
My college education began with an interest in marine and freshwater biology so anyone who has fish stories is welcome to share them in my office. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology, as well as, my Master's degree in Zoologyat the University of New Hampshire, so Wildcat tales are welcome also.
After completing my Master's degree in Zoology at UNH, I attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where I recieved my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). I completed my General Practice Residency (GPR) at Hartford Hospital and have not looked back.
I returned to the Seacoast of New Hampshirein 2010when I took a position at JD Howard Dental in Dover, NH. After fivegreat years of treating patients, I decided to fulfill my dream ofopening my own practice and have been on my own since 2015.
I know that in order to provide patients with the most up-to-date and effectiveoptions for their care, I must know what is at the forefront of research and development. Therefore, I continually seek out and participate in continuing education offerings at the local, regional, and national levels.
When Lisa and I are not working, you can find us spending as much time outside as possible. I love to fish and am trying to get my boys as interested in fishing as I am. I think I have found a happy medium between my passion for dentistry and my love of my family. My family keeps me grounded, but my profession keeps me constantly striving for perfection. I cant think of a better way to live!

Julie graduated from Dental Hygiene school in 1994. 'I love getting to know my patients and seeing improvements in their oral health.' Julie 's hobbies include: Gardening, canning, boating, and fishing. 'In my free time, I love spending it with my two rescue dogs and my family, especially my five grandkids.'
Dorothea has worked along side Dr. Benton for 10 years! You will know when she is in the office by her contagious laugh. Her hobbies include: Gardening, hiking, and making memories with her family and her dog; Boomer. As our office Air Force Veteran, we thank her for her service!
Brittnicompleted a Dental Assisting program in 2015 and worked chairside as a Dental Assistant for 3 yearsbefore taking on the Office Manager role with Benton Family Dental in 2018. 'My favorite part of my job is getting to know our patients and the relationships we build with every visit.It 's heart-warming when patients can 't wait to share life events and vice versa. During my free time,I love going on adventures and making memories with my husband and our two (very large) Cane Corso dogs. My favorite things are sunshine and summertime!'
Ashley graduated from NHTI 's Dental Hygiene program in 2010 and has been with Benton Family Dental since 2015. 'I lovegardening and spending time with my husband and two dogs; Betty and Chet.' Ashley is especially excited to become a mom in just a few months!
Melissa grew up in the White Mountains region of NH. She earned her BS degree in Dental Hygiene from Vermont Technical College and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2009. After college, she spent several years in Chicago followed by Boston. After enjoying 'city life' for ten years, she decided to return home to NH to raise her family. 'In my free time, I enjoy skiing, hiking, kayaking, and walking along the beach. I love being a dental hygienist and strive to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable in the dental chair.'
Julia joined our team January 2021 and has made such a great addition to our team!She is the first person to welcome you when you come into the office.'I am currently a student at UNH studying for my Master 's in Business Administration. I love the summer and really enjoy spending time at the lake, going tubing and relaxing. In my free time, I like spending time with my family and friends.'
Raeann is new to New Hampshire and the newest member of our team! She is originally from upstate New York and has recently taken an interest to the dental field. 'I enjoy trying new foods and new restaurants in the area!' Raeann loves spending time with her family and especially loves being an auntie.

My first visit with Dr Benton's practice was a great experience. Such a friendly staff who went above and beyond to make me feel at ease was a delightful suprise.. The care I received was excellent. I appreciate the consultative approach to my dental care that Dr Benton showed. Thank you Benton Family Dental!!

This was my first visit to Benton Family Dental. Being a new patient, there is always a little anxiety about starting care in a new practice. I can now say, I was very impressed with my visit today. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Benton was very pleasant and informative. I felt very comfortable during my visit . This is important because going to the dentist is not one of my favorite places to visit.

I have been a patient at Benton Family Dental for years; even though they are no longer in network for me, I still go there for all dental care and would not go anywhere else. His office staff is professional, knowledgeable and kind. Chris Benton is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to; and in my 65 years, I've been to quite a few!

Listen, I hate the dentist. It's been a lifelong thing and I doubt I'll ever get over it but the sedation options here and the great staff will keep bringing me back. They worked with me to find something that'll make me stop avoiding my cleanings and honestly having a hygienist who talks me through what's going on helps. Great, great place to go!

I had a dental emergency over the weekend. I was able to easily get an appointment with Dr. Benton on Monday. It was quick and efficient. The whole team is friendly and welcoming. They do a great job of explaining what's going on.

My very first visit with Benton Family Dental was very comfortable and pleasant. The hygienist was friendly and sweet, Dr. Benton was very pleasant and informative. I'm looking forward to more interaction with this practice...as long as it doesn't include cavities!!!

As always, I received the best dental care today from the most skilled dentist and dental assistant in the most comfortable surroundings. I would highly recommend Dr. Benton and his staff to anyone looking for the highest level of care in the Seacoast NH area.

Benton Family Dental is the best around. Still make the 55 minute drive from North Reading, MA and now have my wife going there as they are that good. Brittni, Julie, and Dr. Benton as well as all the others on the team run a top notch practice.

I called with a dental issue and had an appointment the same day. The staff was excellent and Dr. Benton was friendly and knowledgeable. I am not a fan of dental work but I will be returning as a new patient to this practice .
