Having the ability to change a persons smile, and thus change their life, is a tremendous privilege. A smile is the first thing we notice when meeting someone and makes a lasting first impression. Its important to have straight, healthy teeth for a smile thats filled with confidence. Im fortunate in that I get to be part of making these smiles happen every day!

I love working with people: my patients, their families, my incredible team, our community, and now my oldest son, Dr. Jarred. My patients are important to me as people. I love getting to know them on a personal level, learning about their hobbies, interests, and passions. If my patient is young, I get to watch them grow up and cheer their accomplishments. If theyre older, we connect in a different way and I celebrate who they are in our community.

Each year I complete many hours of continuing education, concentrating on advancements in orthodontics and oral healthcare. Ive extensively studied new approaches to cosmetic treatment and accelerated forms of orthodontics, along with Invisalign aligner treatment.

Todays technologies and new approaches to care ensure more comfortable, effective treatment and amazing results. Through continuing education courses, and participation in lectures and seminars, I stay current on new options.

I grew up in Winchester, TN, and now call Lebanon my home. I was lucky to marry my high school sweetheart, Katie, back in 1981. We met in a band when in HS and have been together ever since. We have two sons: Jarred, our oldest, is an orthodontist and has joined me in the practice. Our youngest son, Josh, lives and works in Nashville; we enjoy cycling and spending time together.

Outside the office, I enjoy boating, snow and water skiing, hiking, and traveling, especially exploring our beautiful National Parks! I enjoy reading about the early history of our country, too, especially biographies of our founding fathers.

Orthodontics is much more than straightening teeth and aligning bites. Its about changing lives, one person at a time. Every day I get to meet new people and start to build connections with them and have time with others who I already know, as we strengthen our rapport. I talk and laugh with people, enjoying their unique stories and perspectives. I hear about their friends and kids, their pets and adventures, whats happening at school and work, and whats important to them. These conversations keep me engaged and excited about coming to work each morning!

My day is made, professionally and personally, when I talk with a former patient and they tell me the difference their new smile has made in their life. When they talk about feeling confident in their appearance, and how thats led to a new job opportunity, a changed outlook on dating, a greater comfort in talking with others: all of those moments are because of what weve achieved, together!

Through continuing education courses, taken locally, regionally, and nationally, I learn from the leading researchers and practitioners in the field. I also attend seminars and lectures, participate in a study club, and avidly study peer-reviewed publications in different oral healthcare journals. This allows me to provide the best clinical care and positive treatment experience to each patient.

I grew up right here in Wilson County and returned to Lebanon after finishing my post-doc studies and orthodontics residency. My wife Kelly, who makes me whole, and I married in 2011. We have twobeautiful daughters, Hailey and Kinsley,who meanthe absolute world to us. We are so blessed to have themin our lives.

Originally from California, I moved to Tennessee in 1999. Ive been happily married for almost 20 years and have three beautiful children. I love spending time with family and friends, attending church, and being outdoors.

I love talking with our patients and parents and hearing whats happening in their lives. We serve the best community and our patients are some of the best people. I am so happy to see each persons confidence the day they finish and they see that new smile! I get to meet people as they start their orthodontic journey and introduce them to treatment. Its fun to answer their questions and share in their excitement at getting a new smile. I also work in the clinic, providing assistance during various procedures.

Originally from California, I recently moved to Middle Tennessee. Im happily married to my husband, Cameron, and we have two rescue dogs, Ghost and Ivy, and a rescue cat, Kylo. I love exploring new restaurants in Nashville and enjoy spending time outdoors!
