Dr. Benson has been practicing dentistry since 2000. He opened his state-of-the-art practice in 2008, serving adults and children as young as 3 years old. He credits his father, who operated an internal medicine practice for 29 years, with invaluable guidance and inspiration to enter the health care profession.
A graduate of the nationally recognized University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Benson served his dental residency with the U.S. Army before entering a private practice. Dr. Benson is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Upstate Study Club. He believes in educating patients on an individual basis of treatment options in order for them to choose the best treatment possible. Patients truly appreciate his caring approach and listening ear.
In his personal life, Dr. Benson enjoys the many attributes of the local community, including biking and running the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail which connects Travelers Rest with the city of Greenville. He also likes playing soccer and hiking our local mountain trails. He volunteers his time for worthy causes, including the Free Dental Clinic of Greenville and supports dental health care missions in Third World countries.
