With 20+ years in practice, Dr. Dane Benko has earned the reputation of being one of the most trusted orthodontists in the area. His unique combination of experience, technical know-how and genuine approach to care has led to hundreds of great smiles.
Dr. Benko grew up in Ebensburg, PA, and met his wife, Vicki, an NYC native, during his residency. After finishing school, the two decided to move to the Butler area and start a family. Both Dr. Benko and his wife love western PA and its friendly people. Dr. Benko enjoys spending time with his family, including his two children, Blake and Avery. When hes not at the office, you can find him golfing, running, working out or skiing.
Dr. Benko has a passion for helping everyone to achieve the great smile they deserve. When asked what he loves most about his job, Dr. Benko said, Transforming smiles watching kids grow into young adults and giving adults the smile theyve always wanted.

I definitely recommend this practice. I didn't have braces as a kid, so I was a little nervous and unsure about what to expect. Dr. Benko and his staff put me at ease immediately with their calm and friendly demeanor, professionalism, and clear communication. I also appreciate that they are efficient and run on schedule so I am always seen on time. Very pleased with my experience!

Both of my daughters have been patients at the Freeport location. We have had a very good experience through both phases of braces and aftercare. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very professional and the overall experience is well worth the recommendation.

This has been our first experience with an orthodontist and we have been blown away. The staff is always very kind and helpful and treat us well. They have made our daughter feel comfortable and she even gets excited to visit. (Our other two kids are jealous and ask when they get to go have fun stuff done- yes they refer to the process as fun!) Dr. Benko is professional and approachable and we love working with him. The office is always clean and welcoming and we could not be happier to have found such an amazing practice.

Three out of our 4 kids (one is too young) go to Dr Benko for orthodontics. Starting the first phase at a young age is so beneficial, the first child only needed an expander. The other needed an expander and they said braces for first phase but then they ended up deciding he only needed an expander and reimbursed us the cost of braces. With that being said they are honest and don't try to take your money. The third child is starting the expander. We arrived at the office 10 minutes early and they took him back immediately. The office is very clean and staff is friendly and accommodating.
