Ben Sun graduated from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2004 with recognition and awards in Restorative Dentistry and Public Health. He also served as student director for the One World Clinic where dental treatment was provided to less fortunate patients in the Omaha area. He continued his post-graduate education at UCLAs Advanced General Dentistry clinic where he served as Chief Resident from 2005-2006, and worked as clinic instructor for UCLA dental students for 2 years. While at UCLA, Ben trained under several Periodontists and Prosthdontists, which allowed him to further develop surgical skill techniques for dental implants, laser therapy, and complex cases.

Ben has been working locally in Agoura Hills since 2006 and now Westlake Village. He prides himself in his commitment toward providing the best quality dental care and experience for his patients. Besides providing all aspects of general dentistry, he has also been certified to provide laser gum surgery (LANAP) for patients with gum disease. He is Invisalign-certified and continues to further his knowledge and skill by taking multiple continuing education courses. He is currently on track towards receiving his Fellowship award with the Academy of General Dentistry.

Ben is married to his wife, Nichole, who works as an orthodontist in the Los Angeles area. They have two daughters, Jessica & Christina as well as a yellow lab named Bacon. Ben enjoys watching all sports, participates in a fantasy football league with friends and plays in an adult basketball league in Westlake during the week.

Kathleen graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in microbiology with an emphasis in genetic engineering. Once she was exposed to dentistry, she knew that she had found her niche. In 1993, she graduated with honors from the UCLA School of Dentistry. She was the recipient of multiple awards during her educational experience at UCLA. She received the Academy of General Dentistry award given to the senior student who showed the most promise of being an outstanding general dentist, the Mobile Clinic award for her four year commitment to providing volunteer dental services to those in need, and she was accepted to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Bennett continued her dental education by attending a 1-year general practice residency at the Long beach VA Hospital to gain additional training.

At the beginning of her career, Kathleen taught in the fixed prosthodontics department at UCLA. She taught both pre-clinical and clinical dental students for over five years. She has been working in private practice since 1994 and has worked locally in Agoura Hills and now Westlake Village the past eighteen years. Kathleen truly loves everything about family practice, as she enjoys seeing both children and adults.

Outside of her work, Kathleens passion is her family. She met her husband when she was eighteen years old at UCSB. Kathleen, her husband Dan, and their daughters, Sydney and Kailey, love being in the great outdoors. They enjoy camping, hiking, paddle boarding, doing marathons and all sports in general. They share their home with 4 pets, a French Bulldog , two cats, and a dwarf hamster named Bugaboo.

I thoroughly enjoy working with Dr. Sun, Dr. Bennett, and the amazing team here. My career in the dental field began in 2012 as a dental assistant. Since then I have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree from Northern Arizona University (2016) and Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (2019). I am passionate about providing quality care and ensuring patient comfort, as well as meeting the needs of the community.

In addition to being a dental hygienist, I have the joy of being a freelance musician (bassoonist). I enjoy playing and listening to all genres of music! I also enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my loving cat and dog.

I am excited to be an integral part of this dental office. I love being a hygienist! After finishing my hygiene training, I moved back to my native Ventura County. I enjoy my work days that are filled with amazing patients, fun coworkers and the best doctors.

I grew up in Connecticut, where I graduated dental hygiene school in 1980. I moved to California in 1982 and no, I do not miss the snow! I have worked with Dr. Sun and Dr. Bennett for many years now, and am glad to be part of this dental team.

I couldnt be happier to be a part of this great dental team! I truly love what I do and I am so grateful to be doing a job that doesnt feel like work! I have my degree in Dental Hygiene from West Los Angeles College, and I also have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from California State University Of Northridge. I enjoy giving back to the community, so when I am not working I volunteer at various dental hygiene related clinics or events.

During my time off, my husband and I enjoy spending time with family & friends. We love camping by the beach or at one of our favorite places in Sequoia National Forest. We also love traveling and spending time in places we have never been before. We have been to Riviera Maya and most recently we honeymooned in the Dominican Republic! Europe will be our next destination! I love to cook and I am always trying something new in the kitchen.

I have been working with Dr. Sun and Dr. Bennett since 2004. Prior to that I have been in the dental field since 1996 and have worked as a hygienist since 2002. I love working in this dental office and enjoy getting to know my patients as well.

I am married and have a handsome son who keeps me very busy. We also have a Lhasa Apso named Bear. In my free time, I enjoy spending it with my family and being outside. I enjoy baking and always appreciate a good cup of coffee.

I am a Simi Valley native, and oddly enough, I have known since the age of 15 that I wanted to be a dental hygienist. I graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Pasadena City College and I can proudly say I am passionate about my work. What I enjoy most are the conversations I get to have with new and kind people every week. I truly believe these conversations brighten up my day and hopefully my patients days as well. I love the demeanor and vibe of this office. I truly do not feel like I am working half of the time.

I enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer snowboarding, mountain biking, dirt biking, rock climbing and surfing. I love spending quality time with my family and have a huge heart for all kinds of animals. Ive also been bitten by the travel bug. My favorite places to visit so far have been Tulum, San Miguel De Allende and Thailand. I want to see the world, eat all the best foods and collect all sorts of nonsense souvenirs!

Ive enjoyed working with Dr. Sun and Dr. Bennett for the past 10 years. I began my career as a dental assistant, moved on to office management and ultimately, completed dental hygiene school. With over 25 years of hygiene experience, I recently completed a Masters Degree in Education. When I am not here in the office, I enjoy teaching the dental hygiene students at West Los Angeles College as well as dental students at the UCLA School of Dentistry.

I have been a Dental Assistant since 1988 have been working with Dr. Sun and Dr. Bennett since 1998. I received my dental training at Simi Valley Adult Education, but also have a degree in Landscaping Design from Cal State Northridge (just for fun).

My activities outside of work include going to bikram yoga, walking and training for marathons. The newest addition to my family was in 2009 when we brought home Otto, a Boston terrier. He is occasionally shown in the breed ring and I enjoy doing agility training with him. I also enjoy weekends away relaxing with my husband in our motor home and wine tasting in Paso Robles.

I have a wonderful baby boy who keeps me busy most of the time. When I do have free time, I enjoy spending my days with my family outdoors, whether its swimming, hiking, or camping. I consider myself to be very adventuresome and plan on traveling the world one day.

I am excited to be part of this dental team. Besides working in the dental field, I have my Medical Assistant certificate and love my other occupation as a cosmetics sales associate. I look forward to meeting all of our patients and ensuring you have the best experience in our office.

I come from a military family, and have lived all over the states, as well as other countries. I am proud to call Ventura County home. I have the most exceptional little boy who keeps me busy and always puts a smile on my face. I enjoy working out, shopping, eating, and taking my son to the beach.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing, playing billiards and going on hikes with my boyfriend. I enjoy all types of food. I have also recently become a gym-rat going to workout daily. I am part of a group of friends that works out together, which helps to keep us all motivated!

I love being a part of this amazing dental office and team. Assisting patients and the doctors is something I take great pride in. My goal has always been to work in the dental field. Besides assisting chair-side at this time, I am going to school to further my education to one day become a dentist or dental hygienist.
