Before attending dental school, Dr. Kang received his PhD in oral biology. Today he uses his research background to make evidence-based decisions in clinical care. Dr. Kang enjoys patient-centered treatment planning and creating lifelong bonds with his patients.
Dr. Kang is a Los Angeles native who graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2016. He earned his bachelors degree in mathematics from the University of California Los Angeles, masters in biology at California State University Los Angeles, and his PhD in oral biology, also from UCLA.
Dr. Kang uses his research background to make evidence-based decisions in clinical care. He enjoys comprehensive treatment planning that keeps the patient at the center. His interests include implant, cosmetic dentistry, and full-mouth rehabilitation.
Dr. Kangs interest in dentistry began in high school when he attended a church mission trip to Paraguay. He saw firsthand how the team dentists compassionately treated patients who had little access to care. That inspired him to study bone pathology and regeneration at UCLA, and he has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications.
