Dr. Adam W. Benham was born in Houston and raised in El Paso, Texas. He received his collegiate education at The University of Texas at El Paso, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
After college, Dr. Benham attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas for his dental school education. One of his greatest achievements was receiving the Valedictorian Award in 2005. He also earned the Alpha Omega Scholastic Award and the Academy of Dental Materials Award of Excellence. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental honor Society in 2004.
Aside from the orthodontics, Dr. Benham enjoys outdoor activities, especially fishing. He also loves to explore new restaurants, go to the movies, and spend time with his family. Dr. Benham also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Here at Benham Orthodontics, we are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
She was born in El Paso, TX and currently lives in Dallas, TX. Erin attended makeup school in NYC and is certified with MAC cosmetics. Her hobbies include music, makeup, and travelling. Her favorite part about working with Benham Orthodontics is building relationships with patients and their families.
Julie joined Benham Orthodontics in 2012 and has been in orthodontics for over 16 years. She was born in Las Vegas, NV and currently resides in Plano, TX. She enjoys seeing patients transform their smile from beginning to end.
Ann was born in Monroe, MI and currently lives in Carrollton, TX. She received her English degree in Ohio. She enjoys reading and walking her dogs along with spending time with her 3 children. Ann enjoys working at Benham Orthodontics due to the friendliness of the staff and how they feel more like friends than co-workers.
Carolyn has been in the orthodontic field since 1994 and joined Benham Orthodontics in 2011. She was born in Ontario, Canada and currently resides in McKinney, TX. She attended Collin County Dental School. Over the years Carolyn has seen many members of the same family from oldest to youngest siblings and even their parents be treated at Benham Orthodontics.
Lacy grew up on the soccer field, playing as a child and continued through college at Long Beach State University in California then in 2002 she moved to Texas where she met her husband Shane of six years and now has two awesome sons Jordan and Connor. She likes watching her boys play in all their sporting events and enjoys going to the lake with her family and friends and spending time out on her boat, wake boarding, tubing, and fishing!She enjoys getting to know her patients and becoming part of their lives by helping them create a smile they can be proud to show off!

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Many thanks to Dr Benham's practice. Solid, caring professionals eager to help and do a great job for my son. Aside from the high quality care, we couldn't ask for a more comfortable and inviting office - the massage chairs and Keurig for the patients and parents make coming in for check-ups a breeze.

My braces were removed in 2016 and my front upper permanent retainer broke a few months ago (July 2022). I moved out of town and was unable to find an orthodontist who would replace my permanent retainer, without requiring me to have braces again or Invisalign. I came back to Benham orthodontist and they were able to fix the gap that was created after my permanent retainer broke on my front upper teeth and they replaced my permanent retainer! I appreciate Dr. Benham's willingness to develop a treatment plan that would not require me to have to pay for braces again or Invisalign. The staff was so kind and patient throughout my visit. They are a company of integrity and they have been heaven sent! I will definitely be a lifetime customer!

Where do I start?? I am the happiest Mom in the world since walking into Benham's front door. The facility is beautiful and they provide snacks and coffee, WiFi and even massage chairs for waiting parents. But the greatest thing I can say is their staff!! From the moment we came for the consultation all the way through getting my daughter's braces on everyone, has been amazing - they are easy to reach and have 2 convenient locations, they are on time and affordable with not only free financing but offer discounts for prepayment or siblings. They are gentle and loving with my children and have an open-office setup so I can visit my daughter at any time during her treatment. We needed additional specialty treatment and pro-actively Julie & Sheree researched a surgeon and confirmed they would take our insurance - they didn't have to do that but they did because they care about their patients!! From start to finish Benham has done EVERYTHING RIGHT and I will never go anywhere but here!!

We love Dr Benham's whole office. Everyone is kind and caring and works hard to make sure everyone feels comfortable and happy which is so important for nuerodivergent individuals. My daughter was well taking care of and her teeth are beautiful. On the plus side for parents how can you not love the massage chairs in the waiting room lol. It's obvious Dr Benham and all of his staff really care a lot about their patients.

Amazing! All the staff is really friendly. They always keep you updated with upcoming appointments, answer any questions that you have and they keep you informed on what's going to happen on your next visit. I have had a great experience each and every time I visit. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. Getting aligners I didn't quite know what to expect; however, they patiently walked me through each step. And anytime there's massage chairs in the waiting area, you know you're in the right spot!
