Many people think of orthodontics in terms of smiles. While changing someones appearance is the most noticeable result of treatment, I am also able to improve the individuals oral health. Properly positioned teeth improve the bite, which helps protect the jaw joints. Straight teeth are easier to brush and floss, too, which decreases the likelihood of future dental disease.
I attended Purdue University on a swimming scholarship, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. In 1992, I moved to Chicago where I worked for the University of Chicago as a budget analyst for several years. While there I married my lovely wife, Susanne, in 1994.
We then moved to Indianapolis, where Susanne attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry. I soon followed suit, completing my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2000. I then accepted a general practice hospital residency at Wishard Hospital and Riley Hospital, in 2001.
Following the residency, I returned to the Indiana University School of Dentistry for post-graduate studies. In 2003, I was awarded my Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and completed specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
One of the most exciting things about orthodontics is that its a constantly evolving specialty. Cutting-edge research leads to new methodologies and techniques, which have an impact on the patient experience and results. In order to provide my patients with the best treatment and strongest results, it is critical I stay current on the latest developments.
I actively seek out continuing education opportunities, attending seminars and lectures locally, regionally, and nationally. This ensures I am at the forefront of technological innovation and the latest research findings, so Im offering patients the most advanced treatment options.
Im an Indiana native and have been proud to raise my family here in Fishers. Susanne and I have three boys, Oliver, Mario, and Gaven; the twins are now in college and the youngest will soon be off to college, too.
I like getting to know our patients and families. Its fun to listen to their stories and share in their lives, all while helping each develop a new smile! I work in the back office, where I take digital X-rays, scans, and photos. I also offer chairside assistance, supporting Dr. Benedict as he creates beautiful smiles!
I like helping with giving people the confidence to smile. Seeing a person go from feeling self-conscious to having a smile they love to share is the best experience! As an orthodontic assistant, I provide chairside assistance during various procedures. I also take the necessary images, including photographs, digital scans, and X-rays.
I love being part of a team that gives people the smiles and confidence they deserve! Whether treatment involves big changes or small adjustments, each patient feels better about how they look and thats reflected in how they interact with us and their peers. I manage our clinical team, making sure were ready for the day before us, and work chairside, too.
I have two children: son Chase and daughter Riley. They are my greatest accomplishment! In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends. I am blessed to be a member of the Hamilton County Womans Club, serving the community for those in need. I am also a foodie and enjoy dining out whenever possible.
I like being part of a team which has the ability to transform a patients smile and improve their life! I love building relationships with patients, since we see them frequently, and keeping-up with their latest news. I work chairside assisisting Dr. Benedict as well as seeingNew Patients. I also take digital scans, X-rays, and photos.
My husband Kyle and I have two daughters, Kyndal and Kerrington, as well as two dogs and a cat. We love spending time boating, campingand going to country music concerts. I love to be crafty and think I am pretty creative. My dream is to one day meet Ellen!
I am happy to work for the BEST orthodontist and with an amazing team. Beyond my coworkers, I love to see the happiness and confidence that results from a beautiful new smile! I manage and maintain the insurance accounts, ensuring patients are able to maximize their benefits.
I love to see, chat, and joke with our patients and their families: they are part of my family! I love to communicate, too, and am happy when someone tells me something about their life. Sometimes just listening is the best thing you can do for someone. As the Benedict Orthodontics Practice Administrator, I oversee the entire office. In addition to HR responsibilities, including hiring, training, and office protocols, I handle billing and marketing duties. My goal is to keep everyone on track, organized, and prepared to deliver the best experience to each and every patient.
Beyond the office, I am very busy with my family. My husband, Darryl, and I love to camp and hike, and to set up camp on our property and have family over for fun, bonfires, and campouts. I have three daughters, four grandchildren, and a dog named Izzy. I love attending basketball and softball games, bargain shopping and organizing, and attending our local church.
Following that passion, I earned a dental assisting certificate from the Dental Careers Foundation. I am alsox-ray certified, CPR/ first aid certified and have certifiedOHSA training. I have been with the office since 2006 and have loved every minute of it. Dr. Benedict is so kind and is always looking to help us further our careers and challenge ourselves. My favorite part of working here is the constant learning and growing that we do as a team and individually.
Dr. Brian Benedict and our team know that by gently shifting teeth into proper position we are able to transform lives. Every day we watch our patients change: as they see how their appearance is changing, they start feeling more comfortable with how they look. This boosts their self-esteem, along with their self-confidence.
