Dr. Bender was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at University of Illinois in Chicago. He then received his degree in dentistry from University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Dr. Bender completed his residency program at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes. Dr. Bender opened his general dental practice in Elgin, where he has been serving his community for over 40 years. He has received a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, and he has also taken advanced continuing education in Air Abrasive Dentistry (painless, drill-free treatment of cavities). Dr. Bender has four children Todd, Tracy, Micaela, and Logan. When not providing excellent care to his large family of patients, he enjoys running, hiking, and watching Chicago sports.

Dr. Bender is fantastic. My wife and I have gone to him for 20 years and he has always been friendly made recommendations but didn't force them on us. His bedside manner if you will is very friendly and comforting. Highly recommend him.

The building is easy to get to - and to get into. If you have any handicap issues, you're good to go. The staff is very interested in the patients well being, they look for any anxieties and set your mind at ease. Great staff, very accommodating. They stay in touch with you, from the first appt. to the end of your treatments. A very personable experience.

Dr Bender was amazing and his staff very friendly. I came in with a high filling that caused a lot of pain and tension and he fixed it easily. He didn't try and extort me like the other place that didn't file my filling down enough and couldn't make time for me to fix it. I am so thankful to have found him and plan on only going to him for dental work now.

This was my first visit to Dr Bender and it was the experience I have ever had to the dentist. From walking in and meeting Amanda to meeting Julie and Lisa.I have not met Dr Bender yet because I have to return again but I am sure he will be just as caring and wonderful as his staff. I would recommend Dr Bender to anyone looking for the most caring dental experience they have ever had.

Dr. Bender made time to see me asap as I was in pain. Two years ago I moved out of state. I happened to be in town visiting family. His keen observation and diagnosis saved me from an unnecessary procedure recommended by my current dentist. Thank you Dr. Mike. You are the best!

I have been a patient of Dr Benders for 20+ years, I have had nothing but positive experiences with him and his staff! Waiting times are always quick, the hygienists as well as Dr Bender are always very gentle ensuring a painless visit. I have had some bad experiences with other dental offices but nothing but positive experiences here! A++++++

Practice is efficiently run with quality service. If you don't mind paying in advance for services not performed it's a place for you. I have never paid in advance for dental appointments especially since I have insurance. I am changing dentist

Well, things are moving along quite nicely. Dr. Bender and staff took my impressions for my partials and now I await my new teeth. Very exciting. Can't wait to eat steak again. I am confident i am in good hands. Thanks to all!

Dr Bender and his staff were so professional kind compassionate honestly caring about my pain in an emergency situation got me immediately in and it was almost 5:00 p.m. when they were ready to walk out the door and they stayed to help me. I recommend them highly!
