Dr. Caraveo started at our practice in 2010 and worked as a dentist in the US Army before that. He says the best thing about working at Benchmark Family Dentist is the great staff. Originally from El Paso, Dr. Caraveo earned a BS from St. Marys University before continuing onto the Baylor College of Dentistry, where he earned his DDS. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Caraveo enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, video games, playing and crafting with kids, and watching movies.

Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Wicheta served as a U.S. Army officer and worked as a radiology assistant. He attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City to earn a bachelor's degree in biology, and he went on to obtain his dental doctorate from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. For Dr. Wicheta, nothing makes him happier than getting to meet new people every day and help them look and feel their absolute best. When not at the office, he likes to spend his free time playing guitar, woodworking, reading, hiking, or hanging out with his amazing wife, dog, and two cats.

April is originally from Stevens Point, WI and has nearly ten years of dental care experience. She loves building relationships with her patients and being able to help them be healthy and receive the care they need. She has been married to the most amazing man and her best friend and they have a fur baby named Bear that they rescued from The Humane Society. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her hubby and puppy and supporting the Green Bay Packers. Her nickname is Sunshine because shes always happy!

Laurissa is from Killeen, and she studied at the Temple Dental Assistant School. Today, what she enjoys most about her role is being able to help people, as well as working alongside such a talented team. In her free time, she enjoys being with her big, loving family, taking good care of her animals, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises.

Originally from Lampasas, Tx, Jesenika joined our practice in 2013 and has more than 11 years of experience in the dental field. She completed her dental hygiene program in 2004 and continues her education at Texas Dental Association in San Antonio, Midwinter in Dallas, and Temple College. She is also certified in CPR. Jesenika says that the best thing about her job is that she not only gets to provide exceptional dental care, but that she has forged great bonds and friendships with her patients. She and her husband met in 8th grade and they love spending time with their children and family, especially when theyre playing co-ed softball and enjoying recreational activities in the park.

Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Haven. Today, she has experience with working in both general dentistry practices and pediatric practices! As one of our hygienists, she enjoys helping people by educating them about oral hygiene at home, how to prevent disease, and the best ways to start loving their smile. Outside of work, she likes to spend quality time with her parents and brother, watch movies, and dance. She also loves animals; in fact, she has three cats and a dog at home.

Brittany completed her Associates of Science at Central Alabama Community College. Today, she has been working in the world of dentistry since 2018. She loves that the staff feels just like family here, and the steady pace of her work keeps her busy in a good way. At home, she and her husband have a young son named Grayson. When theres free time, you can usually find her watching movies, eating out, riding 4-wheelers, bowling, and playing Top Golf.

Taylor became a member of our team in early 2019 after studying at Temple Dental Assisting School. Today, she feels proud that she can help make patients comfortable with their smiles! Her entire family is from Central Texas and she loves spending time with her brother and niece in particular. Other hobbies include playing slow pitch softball, crafting, hiking, trail riding, doing CrossFit, and simply being outdoors.

Casey studied at Temple Dental Assisting School and has been working in oral healthcare since early 2018. As one of our assistants, she loves being able to witness amazing smile transformations firsthand. Outside of work, she spends plenty of quality time with her Italian mother, her hardworking stepfather, and her sister, who is about to have a baby. In fact, theyve been in the restaurant business for over two decades and bought a piece of it from Italy to Copperas Cove in the form of Giovannis Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria! As for personal hobbies, she likes to regularly flip items that she finds at local thrift/discount stores.
