Im originally from Wilton, but now live in Belgrade with my husband Steve and three children- our son Jason, and twin daughters Megan and Kaitlyn. I attended University of Maine, and have my BS in Health, and my AS in Dental Hygiene. Im an Emergency Medical Technician as well. I like to go riding in my Jeep, and watch sports like baseball, football, and field hockey. I also enjoy going to beaches and lakes in the summer.

I am from Phillips and graduated from Mount Abram High School. Ive been part of Dr. Heers team since we opened back in 2007! I am a Certified Dental Assistant and have also gone on to UMA-Bangor, where I completed training to be an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. I am Dental Radiology licensed, and CPR-AED certified. I enjoy camping, fishing, photography, and spending time with my husband Mike, and daughters Carrie-Ann and Michaela!
I wear a lot of hats in my life...I am a volunteer fire fighter, a CNA, and a dental assistant. I most enjoy the time I get to spend with my family and dog Diesel. I love the Coast and visiting all the lighthouses in Maine! I really love meeting all the people that come to KHSmiles for their dental care.
I have a golden mix rescue dog, Camden that always makes me smile and keeps me on my toes. I enjoy going for walks with my dog, exploring coastal towns, going to the beach, baking, and all sorts of crafting.
I'm originally from Jay but have been in Farmington the last couple years after college. I have two younger sisters and older step brothers who have blessed me with two nephews and a niece. What makes me the happiest is spending time with family, friends, cooking, traveling, hiking, camping, just spending time outdoors in general and living life to the fullest!
I graduated from high school after attending Open Bible Baptist Christian School. Ive also taken a course in Medical Transcription. I live with my wonderful family of six people, and my cat Tigger! I enjoy reading, crocheting, camping, swimming, and being with friends and family. I also love the Lord; I taught at our Christian School for many years. I like to meet new people, so I love meeting all of the new patients who come to our dental office!
I am originally from New York and moved to Embden in 2016 with my husband Dean and 2 children Ian and Emma. I started in the Dental Office field in 2015 after 25 years in Retail Management. I enjoy meeting new people every day and helping solve problems. In my free time I love going to the Coast and exploring new places with my family.
I have a bachelors degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Iowa State University. I have a son and three daughters. My husband John and I love animals! We have ducks, chickens, dogs, cats and guinea pigs :)
Directions: From any direction drive to downtown Farmington at the corner of routes 2 and 4. We are located on that corner sharing a driveway with the Department of Health and Human Services. The driveway is on route 2 and we are the first building when you pull in.

Same dentist, new name. Why would that be? Dr. Heer and her aggressive hygienists will quickly ruin your teeth. She was impatient with my nervousness and threatened to end my exam...while my teeth were drilled and unfinished, because I asked to sit up for a moment to breathe. She actually advertised as a dentist who accommodated nervous patients. Ha. And she reused to allow parents to accompany their children into the exam room. Why? I don't trust any professional who doesn't want parents around. Questionable. My children were permanently affected by the visits where parents were physically denied entry. I only feel bad I allowed any visits without us. Go anywhere else. hmm, you want me to delete my review? well, checked your website and you still have at least one of the previous dentists cronies and abusers working there, so until she's gone...the review stays. Thanks in advance for considering removing her from your practice.

I had a loose wisdom tooth for about two weeks and was getting irritated. I was in between dentists as mine had retired, covid etc. . Benchmark took me on as an emergency case basis. I was treated gently and professionally. First tooth I have had extracted in my 57 years and over all if you have to go thru this was the best experience I could ask for. I sincerely I become a regular patient of theirs. Thank You!

Michaela (sp?) is a wonderful hygienist. She is super personable and always positive. I appreciate her attention to my personal situation (specific scheduling needs, etc.), too. Your front desk staff, especially Candi, is also helpful, courteous, and compassionate. I always feel well taken care of when having a cleaning!

I had made an appointment a year in advance and when I got there my appointment was changed not to reflect my teeth cleaning. It would of been nice to get a call. Reaching out goes along way.

As soon as you walk into the door of Benchmark Dental you are welcomed with big smiles and how are you today. Friendly always. On time appointments with hygienist , she takes pride with her cleaning and service to you. Can't forget the massage dental chair, so very nice. You can have it on or not. DR. B is the most gentleness and efficient dentist I ever have had. He is friendly, very well educated, and wants the best for his patients. Top Notch office and staff. We are lucky to have such talent in our rural area. Thank you Benchmark Dental .

I love everything about Benchmark Dental. Both Dr. Herr and Dr. Belanger are caring and compassionate. Both are willing to give you your options and let you make informed decisions about your own dental health. Jessica, cleaned my teeth, I complimented the job she did and she stated, "it is like art to me!" That shows! Jessica is passionate about helping her patients! Thank you to everyone, I have referred many people and will continue to do so.

The staff (from the front desk to the hygienists, and both doctors) are amazing! This practice if perfect for the whole family and the care we receive is exceptional. The facility is clean and welcoming. I have nothing but positive things to say.

I honestly do not like going to the dentist because I have bad anxiety after bad experiences at other places. But Dr. Katherine Heer and her staff have always been super nice and I always have a good experience there...well as good of an experience that you can get at the dentist anyways! I plan on staying with them no matter how far I move away! I would highly recommend!

I was thinking about how much I miss my former hygienist at Community Dental but I was very happy with the new hygienist at your office. She was very gentle but through. I was also very happy that I was able to stay in the office. I had no chemical sensitivity issues yesterday and no breathing problems. I noticed a new air purifier but didn't look for the name of it. I would love to know what kind it is. Dr. Heer had talked to me about ionizing purifiers but when I looked online, there were overwhelming choices so I haven't purchased one yet. I was so comfortable there yesterday. Thank you, Dr Heer and your staff for thinking of all aspects of your clients health issues.

Very upset with customer care and management of this business. New to the area, I went in for an emergency visit for an exam. Exam was brief but fine, was sent out the door with a receipt & a referral for another dentist. Mistakenly, I decided to schedule for a follow up exam, which had to be postponed last minute due to work obligations. I'm a small business owner, we run a small produce farm. Cash flow is tight & I greatly appreciated the staff waiving the $35 reschedule fee. Today was the rescheduled visit, I called ahead to see what the cost would be as it occurred to me that they had failed to mention it prior. $260 for a new patient exam! I explained, regretfully, that as a small farm owner I would not be able to afford this until cash flow returned in the spring. I was met with a tone of distain from the lady on the phone as she told me I would now have to pay for the first rescheduling $35 fee which had already been waived. Unreal. The lack of integrity, compassion, and empathy was not surprising.. asking for the fee which they had already waived certainly was, as I was prepared to pay the new $35 reschedule fee. Absurd customer care. I'll happily take my money to a neighboring dental clinic, and happily share this experience for many years I'm sure. Hah, so enjoy the $70 vs the guaranteed $295
