Dr. Tartaglia has been involved in healthcare since age 15. His interest in the sciences and a deep desire to have a meaningful impact on peoples lives have driven him since then. He earned both his undergraduate and Dental degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He also completed a surgical internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Tartaglia has surgical privileges and consults for Mercy Health Systems and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.

In addition to Dr. Tartaglias professional commitments, he stays active by golfing and working out. He has a passion for playing the guitar and attending concerts. He also enjoys traveling and spending downtime with his family.

Early on, Dr. Thakkar knew she wanted to work with her hands and make a difference in peoples lives. Her aunt was a dentist and, naturally, she gravitated toward the profession. When she was only 19 years old, the Chicago native entered dental school at the University of Illinois. At the time, she was the youngest to do so and graduated in 2004, at the age of 23. With a desire to continue learning and better serve her patients, Dr. Thakkar went on to study orthodontics and complete courses and surgeries in implant dentistry, sleep apnea, and periodontal disease prevention and treatment. She has been in private practice since 2007.

Dr Thakkar loves getting to know her patients and having a positive impact in their lives. Nothing compares to changing lives through smile transformation while helping patients achieve better health. Helping people who have sleep apnea has truly become a passion for her. Other focus areas include crown and bridge treatment, dentures, and dental implants. When shes at home, Dr. Thakkar loves spending time with her husband and their three young children. She also enjoys working out, reading, volunteering at her church, and baking (and decorating) delicious cakes and cookies. Her claim to fame was being featured in an article as the youngest graduating female dentist in the state of Illinois!
