Dr. Praka Sahi has been practicing dentistry for over 18 years. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry, MI in 1996. She continues to take continuing education courses and attends local dental study clubs to update her knowledge in cosmetic dentistry, oral sedation, and oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Sahi attends continuing education courses and workshops offered by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Seattle Children's Hospital and Frank Spear Education, as well as courses offered by the University of Washington School of Dentistry and the Washington State Dental Association. She is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
I have had an extremely gratifying career, especially made by all the patients and their families I have met over the years of practicing dentistry. Each of my patients is unique and have challenged me with their dental needs. I enjoy providing my patients the most comfortable experience and quality treatment at my office.
Dr. Amir Emam started his academic career at Washington State University, graduating with Bachelors of Arts in Fine Arts and Bachelors of Science in Biology. He then graduated from The Northwestern University in Chicago where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1999. Dr. Emam was in private practice in Arizona for 14 years where he was also an adjunct faculty at The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
He then returned to Pacific Northwest for his 3 years specialty training in Periodontics at The University of Washington.He has been an affiliate faculty at The University of Washington since finishing the program. When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two boys.
Dr. Brar received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of dentistry. After finishing her DDS, she decided to do one year of General Practice Residency in New York. After completing her residency, she worked as a general dentist for children in Virginia for three years before deciding to pursue her interest in Pediatrics. She earned her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Howard University DC.
Dr. Brar and her husband have a two year old daughter. Being a mom has definitely shaped and enhanced her career as a Pediatric Dentist. She likes spending time in outdoor activities and enjoys an active lifestyle around her family.

For BelRed Dentists, its when patients come back time and time again to ourRedmonddental practice and are happy and excited with the results. Last week we had one of our long-time patients Peter back in for his checkup and cleaning (which was great by the way!). Its so fun to catch up and hear how Peter was doing. Peter has been coming to our practice since 2007! Whats great is that even thoughPeter lives in Seattle,he makes the trek all the way into our Redmond office to receive dental care!
Not only does it warm our hearts to see Peter, but it also makes us feel great knowing that we are doing such a good job that patients continue to come back to us for their oral health needs. Excellent and efficient dentist office. Wonderfully clean office, kind and funny people, and extremely organized. Close to campus for Microsoft folk and convenient to find for those not at Microsoft. They are clear about your specific coverage and do detailed exams.

Very patient with my extremely panicky self due to past dental experiences on the other side of the county. I'm willing to come in again and left feeling alright which is a miracle in its own. Also the teeth look very nice!! There was a point where the dentist was asking for the biggest microbrush and I wanted to joke about it being a macro brush but I couldn't because I had a bunch of things in my mouth so I'm leaving the joke here instead.

Amazing staff, very friendly, kind, and caring, and such wonderful experts. I had a wonderful experience, I recommend this place for checkup, cleaning, etc. A a couple of months later: I wasn't able to create a new review, so I am updating this one! I need to mention more details. 1. Patience: the staff in this center are patient. All of them. I was able to relax, and continue the process with a positive attitude. Their presence is peaceful, and takes away all the stress. Dental procedure is a very demanding work. Teeth are close to brain physically, and to eyes, especially. Having a traumatic experience can make you run away. My experience with this center was the opposite. I was excited to go to my appointments. 2. Conversation: The staff in this center talk to you, doesn't matter what session. It can be almost every session. A short 4 min talk can save your energy, money, and time in the long run. Their advice helped me to have less pain when I am at home, or at least know in advance this is normal, until the pain goes away, and it did. They also provide valuable advice about teeth, gum, etc. It might seem surprising as it did to me at first because I did not think how important teeth orientation / arrangement is for a good sleep, but a little adjustment can make the quality of sleep better, and because they provide good background knowledge, it helps to improve the quality of life in general, avoid strange habits that we haven't noticed they are developed, just because we were stressed, or under pressure, etc. and in the long run, take good care of your teeth. I love background information. I look for the first chapter of every seminar and thesis, the background. It helps me to have enough information to know the situation. This center does provide it, if you ask them. 3. Professionalism: Very professional, flexible, polite, and kind people. All of them. I never felt like I am a stranger in this center. They treated me like I belong here. This doesn't happen everywhere. There was a time that I was inexperienced, and I would say if you have a positive attitude, thins are going to turn out the best everywhere. BUT NO. Sometimes we try to be kind and positive but we don't have a positive experience, but in this center, I had that good experience. The sense of being included is very important, and this center provides it. There is good vibe and a friendly environment there. They are free of judgment. We all have a different background and experience regarding dental issues / process. The staff listen to you, but never judge you or the previous dentist, and at the same time have empathy. This is a skill I have been trying to develop and improve for a long time, as a person who does science and spends most of their time in the wet-lab, or computer simulation or reading, and I observed how the world can be a more beautiful place if people are empathetic and free of judgment. 4. The physical condition of the center itself: The actual physical location of the center is very accessible. It is bright, and there is cool energetic music, and also there are tv channels so I have been watching them and have learned a couple of things! I am an analytical person and I tried to write as detailed as possible; although probably I have missed many points. I hope my comment will help patients to come to a conclusion and decide.

I had a really nice and pleasant experience here. Dr Sahi listens patiently to your teeth concerns and provides sufficient explanation to any queries. Rest of the staff are very cordial and pleasant to work with. Happy to get my cleaning done here.

We were very pleased with our visit. My elderly mother liked how concerned everyone was about her comfort and the care they took when doing procedures. I really appreciated that they talked directly to my mom and discussed her treatment plan with her.

Excellent experience!! Both my wife and I have neglected our teeth for longer than we care to admit, the service we received was absolutely top notch!! The office staff was extremely polite and had a lively energy, added an extra sprinkle of positivity to my day. I was really impressed with the initial evaluation of my teeth, it was extremely through, and I know they didn't miss a thing. I'm not a huge fan of needles but the techinque my Dr used I couldn't even tell that I was being injected. Magic. Not to get too deep into the details, but I had over 5 cavities, the doctor and her assistant were extremely focused and got the job done quickly with minimal discomfort. Two thumbs up

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Sahi will recommend unnecessary treatments and doesn't put the patient health first. Avoid this place like a plague

Before it was good. Doctors keep changing. Very careless. My last visit was in 2020. Had a terrible experience with my filling. Didn't go back there after that. Now I found a good dentist in different clinic.

Dr Prakha Sahi is an excellent dentist. Me and my family members are her patients since 2014. She's very friendly, professional and understanding. Jo is great too. I would recommend Dr Prakha Sahi to anyone who is looking for a new dentist.
