After receiving his undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University, Dr. John P. Klooster continued his studies at the University of Michigan where he earned his DDS. He began practicing in the spring of 2000.
Dr. Klooster started off his career in community dental health where he worked at Cherry Street Health Services for four years. After this, he was employed in private practice as an associate for an additional four years before opening his own practice in Belmont.
Dr. Klooster is active in the Belmont community through participation in his church and with his children's school. He is married to Sara and they have four children. When Dr. Klooster isn't spending time with his family, he enjoys sports, especially college football, as well as reading, watching movies, and playing golf.

First I'd like to share that nobody dislikes or is more nervous about going to a dental appointment more than myself. I've never had a pleasant experience in my life, and therefore I've avoided the dentist by all means. Due to this every few years a major need presents itself and usually requires immediate attention, which occurred for me this week. Following a simple Google search, I came across Belmont Dentistry, and I could not be happier! From reception, billing, to hygienist, and Dr. Klooster, there is no better and kinder team. I brought them some major work and they completed it 100% painlessly, and I thank them all! I will be staying with Belmont Dentistry as there's no one better, and I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment.

Disappointed with Belmont Dentistry. My 3, 4 and 6 year olds first time to the dentist and I was not allowed to accompany them back. I was basically kicked out of there waiting area with my infant. Not comfortable at all with what just happened. I don't care what your covid guidelines are, (yes there guidelines, not laws) I'm not leaving my kids to go back by themselves again. Never again at Belmont dentistry. I will find somewhere else to go. I never received a breakdown of my 938$ bill either.

Dr. Klooster is the best dentist I have ever been to. He really cares about preserving my teeth. He is so kind and caring. His skills are exceptional. I highly recommend him. Everyone in the office is wonderful too.

Dr. Klooster has been a wonderful help for me. A few years ago, I went to him for advice about a very complicated jaw infection that I had. I really trusted what he said, and he was right. Dr. Klooster always treats me with gentleness and respect. He is a skilled dentist - I have had several procedures performed by him. Dr. Klooster's office staff and whole experience never ceases to amaze me! Every staff member from the front desk crew to the hygienists to the team of dentists is top-notch, showing compassion for each unique patient and expertise in their field. They care about my family and me not only as patients, but as people. They take the time to answer every single question we may have about our dental health and procedures. They are gentle and SO great with kiddos. They actually make going to the dentist fun for our daughters and every time we drive by Belmont Dentistry, our girls wave and say 'Hi Dentist! We miss you!' If you need to be referred to a specialist for a procedure outside of their expertise, they streamline the process for you and know amazingly talented specialized dentists all over the GR area. If you call them outside of normal hours with an emergency situation, they are so quick with getting you the care you need and show compassion with the situation. I would recommend Belmont Dentistry to anyone in a heartbeat! Keep up the great work, Dr. Klooster & staff!

Staff are all very friendly and everyone listens to your concerns. I like that options are always offered. Comfort for the patient is number one. Never have had a bad experience here.

All the staff is friendly and caring. Dr.John is super! Great personality and always explains what is necessary for any dental work that has to be addressed. I would recommend this office to anyone in need of good dental services.

I love Belmont Dentistry! All the doctors and staff are amazing, so kind, and attentive. I've had some bad experiences in the past and recently so I tend to get really anxious at the dentist. This is the only place that I've felt really comfortable! I'm really grateful I found them!

The level of care Marissa (my hygienist) and All of Belmont Dentistry is outstanding. I can go in there and know I'm going to get treated like family and taken care of the same way. I feel as if they go above and beyond working with your schedule and also if you have sensitive teeth, they understand the care you need as each individual customer.

They are both caring & attentive to any concerns I have. They are patient with educating and introducing dental hygiene to my 2 & 3 year old which sets them up for healthy habits in the future. Everyone took appropriate safety precautions for COVID, which can be scary for small children but they did great; no tears shed=win!!! I personally love going to have my teeth cleaned at this facility!!!

The friendly people at Belmont Dentistry are incredible to work with. Cleanings and exams are very pleasant and if more serious work is done, its pain free. Update 08-07-2020 Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Belmont Dentistry still makes a dental visit fun!
