We realize you are concerned about infection control in your dental treatment. We share your concern and want to assure you that your safety has been and always will be a top priority in our office. In fact, we have been in the lead in instituting and elevating the standards of infection control for our patients and employees. Everything we use for your care, including all drills, are either steam sterilized or properly disposed of. Our standards meet or exceed every guideline of the American Dental Association and the federal government. We constantly monitor our sterilization procedures to ensure the safety of all our patients, who include, of course, our staff and our families.
After every patient treatment, we thoroughly prepare the room for the next patient by disinfecting all areas of patient contact. We sterilize all instruments and dental drills with heat and steam, a method which assures absolute sterility. We all participate in on-going training and updating in the most advanced methods of equipment sterilization. As a Harvard faculty, we attend an annual infection control seminar to ensure we keep abreast of the latest technology. Our office is also an approved Boston University dental facility, actually an extension of the teaching clinic, subject to their physical inspections.
Dr. Nager is a general dentist with a special interest in replacement of missing teeth with artificial roots, called Dental Implants. Since he was a college student working as a tech for a Harvard based research team, from his first implant surgeries in 1987, Dr. Nager has built on his knowledge and his skills. Now as an associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), he is a lecturer at the Boston Maxicourse. This is the accredited course of study by the AAID in providing a literate credential to serious students of dental implantology. I remember when most implants failed, when we took a wrongheaded approach to it. With our modern robust understanding of the biology driving success, we can do predictable, comfortable and long lasting replacements of missing teeth, leaving the adjacent teeth untouched. Its a whole optimistic era of dental rehabilitation where previous solutions have fallen short. To me its like working magic.
Dr. Nager has completed the Pan Mass Challenge 17 times. This bicycle ride starts in Wellesley and finishes in Provincetown. Over the years, Dr. Nager has raised considerable amounts of money for the Dana Farber Cancer Center.
Dr. Nager has served on numerous boards for the MDIL, a committee of The Massachusetts Dental Society that lobbies for the good of the consumer and the profession. He has participated in several official capacities during the prestigious Yankee Dental Congress over each of the last 28 years. Dr. Nager served as President of the Harvard Odontological Society, an Honor Society whos membership is restricted to distinguished Harvard affiliated dentists. Dr. Nager has written extensively for local media on a wide range of topics related to dentistry. Most recently, Dr. Nager and Dr. Lapidus have been invited speakers at the world renowned Yankee Dental Congress as well as the Middlesex Dental Society
Dr. Nagers passions are bicycling, cooking, and teaching. He is enormously proud of his wife, notable author Diana Renn, and their 15-year-old son, Gabriel. Helping dental students up the ladder is a great joy. Mentoring new dental graduates is enormously satisfying. But what really makes me swell with pride are all the people I work with that may have started with no dental knowledge and are now important, educated professionals. Dr. Nager strives to aid in the development of young dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants to inspire them in their careers.
Dr. Lapidus follows his father, Dr. Charles Lapidus, and grandfather, Dr. Frank Lapidus, as the third generation to enter the dental profession. Dr. Lapidus is a seasoned teacher at Harvard Dental School. He recently was named the Best Part-Time Lecturer chosen by his students, and the Best Part-Time Faculty Member chosen by the faculty.
He practices all phase of dentistry with extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry and prosthodontics, root canal therapy, and most recently sleep apnea. He also has specialized experience treating the fearful dental patient and ensuring that their dental visit is a tranquil one. When he is not working, he spends his time with his ever-expanding family and friends. He enjoys time on the golf course and appreciates good food.
Dr. Pourati graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2004 with a CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study) in Periodontology and a Masters Degree in Science and Dentistry.

This place is amazing! I had a terrible toothache and they were able to squeeze me in on the same day. Dr. Lapidus and Lexi were able to help me fix my tooth on the same day and were very patient and kind throughout the entire process! The best part is I didn't even need to take any pain med the next day too!

I've been going to BMD for years now and each time has been great. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable. Lexi is the best hygienist I've ever had and is so thorough. I normally see Dr. Lapidus who is awesome, but I saw Dr. Lakkis for a filling and I highly recommend going to see him as well! The entire procedure was painless from start to finish and he walks you through everything as he's doing it. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my dental needs even though I now live 40 minutes away.

Believe all the 5star reviews, They're legit! I went in for my very first root canal, at first I was super scared but the amazing team at Belmont Dental group assured me everything will be okay. Dr Yoon, was very calm, gentle, caring, and focused on my comfort throughout the procedure, I felt no discomfort whatsoever. I'm not even exaggerating when i say, this was the best dental experience of my life . Thank you Dr Yoon and the awesome BDG team!

I am a new patient of Dr. Langton. I had some troubling dental experiences when I was younger, which rendered me absolutely TERRIFIED of dental work. When I went in to the office for my xray scans, I was received with such kindness and his team did everything to make me comfortable. His assistant Katie was very patient with me, Dr. Langton has gentle and professional "chairside" manner about him, and some other ladies in the office (Jamie and Nancy I believe were their names) would pop in to check on me, which made me smile! Belmont Dental has given me an opportunity to get my teeth worked on without stressing or trying to bolt out the door. It may not seem like a lot to go on, but for someone with the level of anxiety for dentistry like me, this place gave me solace and hope. Great job and BIG thanks to Dr. Langton and his team!! I will be visiting again for my cleaning and it doesn't hurt me to say so!!

Dr.Langton got me in right away when I was home for a short period of time! He was super nice and his dentistry is unbeatable! Also the assistants in the office are so friendly! I have been to Belmont dental group twice now and I can't say anything but amazing things. Dr.Lakkis was very thorough and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Bushra his assistant, did an amazing job! Lexi the hygienist , couldn't of done a better job cleaning my teeth. I will definitely be coming back here for more future work.

I am so happy and relieved to have found Belmont Dental Group. I have quite a bit of anxiety and shame around dental care and needed a lot of work done when I first found this office. Dr. Lakkis and the entire staff has made me feel incredibly welcomed and supported in their care. This is truly a judgement-free zone - everyone is extremely compassionate, understanding, and so down to earth. I actually look forward to my appointments! Dr. Lakkis is genuinely committed to helping his patients achieve their best smiles, without shame or embarrassment. Dr. Lakkis is amazing!! I reached out due to the need for an emergency root canal and he had me in the office the next business day, connected me with Dr. Lapidus who completed the root canal in the tooth and sealed me up without issue. After the root canal was complete, he did a thorough evaluation of my mouth and identified a tooth that, if he had not seen it and taken the extra time with me, would have needed a root canal as well in the next 6-12 months. Dr. Lakkis managed to save the tooth and me needing a root canal. I also ended up with the best fitting crown that I have ever had installed. My brother is now seeing him and my husband will be switching to him for a dentist as a result. I wish that there was higher than a 5 star rating because he definitely deserves it!

This was my first time at Belmont Dental Group and I will definitely be back. Dr. Lakkis was extremely thorough, honest, and made me feel very comfortable during my visit. My prior dentist had wrongly advised I had 5 cavities and Dr. Lakkis could have easily agreed and filled them to make more money, but instead advised I had no cavities and nothing needed to be done. His assistant, Bushra, was also a sweetheart and did a great job with my X-rays! While I live in New York City, I will continue to travel to Boston to see Dr. Lakkis for all my dental visits in the future!

The entire staff was excellent! As a new patient they made me feel like I had been seeing them for years. Lisa the dental hygienist was thoughtful and did a great job with my cleaning and x-ray. Dr.Lakkis is a top-notch provider and really took the time to listen and put together a very good treatment plan. He didn't make me feel pressure to go in one way or another. I highly recommend.

I first visit Dr. Nager at Belmont Dental Group on 03/13/20. I got a mouth cleaning and examination. I told the doctor my tooth #30 was hurt when bite hard food or eat something cold or hot. The doctor checked for me and told me the filling in this tooth was cracked and needs a treatment. At that time, I thought Dr. Nager will redo the filling for me. But the doctor said he will do a very fancy treatment for me. Then I had an appointment on 07/22/20 for the treatment. After arrived the clinic, Dr. Nager said he will make a crown for me, which will be perfect fit to my tooth and will solve my problem completely. His assistant showed the machine, which is very high-tech and worth $130000. Dr. Nager measured my tooth and used a software to design the shape of the crown. When they applied the first crown made by the machine to my tooth, it broke in the middle for some reason. The assistant had to make another one. The second crown was installed to my tooth and Dr. Nager guaranteed that this crown will last forever and I will feel nothing. BUT, just a week after the treatment, I felt this tooth started hurt again, just like before. Thus, this crown didn't solve my problem and it cost $ 2965, which is way more than a normal price. I called the doctor and made another appointment about this issue. I visited the doctor on 08/20/20. The doctor didn't explain why the crown doesn't work and directly started to inject anesthetics in my mouth and drill on the crown. Later I realized he was doing a root canal on my tooth, which was long procedure and painful. After he finished the root canal, he filled something in that tooth and told me to revisit after a week or so. During the revisit, he did a filling on the crown of that tooth. I remember his assistant suggesting to make a new crown for me, Dr. Nager said it's not necessary. For the treatment of this tooth, I visited Dr. Nager for three times, and the total charge turned to be $5190, after the insurance coverage, I still need to pay $2054 out of pocket. While I feel hurt with this tooth sometime. The charge for my treatment in this clinic is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, not to mention the unpleasant experience! If they had noticed me about the total charge in advance, I definitely will not work with them. I tried to negotiate the bill with them, while they insist that I have to pay the full bill. I have filed a complaint to the Massachusetts Dental Society regarding this issue. Don't go to this clinic unless you're very rich.

On 9/2020 they did cleaning and x-rays without discussing how much it's going to cost. If I would known that, I would just walked out right away. Plus Dr. Nager was insulting about the condition of my teeth. Don't go there if you are trying to save your money. They are way too expensive and not respectful towards the patients.

The care I receive when calling for an appointment through the whole dental procedure is top notch. The dentists here listen to your concerns and hear what you are saying. They thoughtfully give you their advice but do not push you to decide at that moment. I have had everything from cleanings to major work done on my teeth and the process has been very manageable. The whole staff at Belmont Dental Group is very knowledgeable in the field in which they attend to patients.

I've been a patient of Dr. Nager since I moved to Boston in 2015 and could not be happier with my choice. I have over 50 years of experience with dentistry and he is one of the best I've ever seen. His technique is excellent and commitment to high standards of care is outstanding. He listens to his patients, designs good solutions and does not overtreat. Plus he is fun to talk to! The practice is very well run - excellent, competent staff; lots of investment in equipment and the facility; and excellent cleaning and safety standards. Currently the office and the patient flow has been re-designed for safety in the COVID era. I strongly recommend you consider Dr. Nagel and the Belmont Dental Group.
