At Belmar Endodontics, Dr. McKee utilizes Carestreams latest 3D technology, the CS8100 3D. A 3D Cone Beam CT scan allows for improved diagnoses, treatment planning and prognosis. With this technology we can visualize any tooth from multiple angles with extreme accuracy. Featuring one of the highest 3D image resolutions available, the CS8100 3D offers an unprecedented level of anatomical insight into specific dental regions of interest. Teeth are three-dimensional objects, and the CS8100 3D system provides a very accurate view of them. Cone Beam CT scans are only taken when necessary, and when needed provide a multitude of benefits.
At. Belmar Endodontics, all treatment rooms are equipped with a high powered endodontic operating microscope and a digital camera used to capture intrapulpal images. The Zeiss endodontic operating microscope is used to enhance the treatment and improve the outcome of your root canal procedure. These microscopes allow Dr. McKee to visualize the very fine details inside your tooth. It makes sense that 'you can 't treat, what you can 't see'. The magnification and illumination provided by Dr. McKee 's microscope is necessary to visualize the minutest details inside your tooth, such as complex root canal anatomy, extra or calcified canals, fracture lines, etc. This dramatically helps improves the diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of your root canal.
We use a high resolution digital dental imaging system which significantly minimizes radiation and improves diagnostic capabilities. This also allows our patients to follow their treatment as it progresses on the conveniently located computer monitor.
Belmar Endodontics is essentially a paperless office. Our practice software, The Digital Office (TDO), is uniquely specialized for endodontics. It allows our referring dentists to follow each step of their patients treatment here at Belmar Endodontics for a seamless line of communication. This safe, secure, HIPPA compliant software allows our patients to register and update their information for our office at their convenience, a time saving advantage for our patients.

After being a part of a very successful and well known endodontic group practice in San Jose, California for 14 years, Dr. McKee, with his family, decided to make the change that he has thought about for many years and return to Colorado. Although a very hard decision, Dr. McKee is very happy to be back enjoying the Colorado lifestyle where his dental career began at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry graduating in 1991, after completing his undergraduate work in Biology at New Mexico State University in 1987.
While at the University of Colorado, Dr. McKee was honored to receive the Dr. Kenneth Grove Memorial Award of the Dental Foundation of Colorado for outstanding restorative dentistry. After one year of private practice in Aurora, Colorado, Dr. McKee decided to join the U.S. Army, with an assignment in Darmstadt, Germany, for 3 years. Upon leaving the military, Dr. McKee was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service.
Dr. McKee has 24 years of experience in dentistry with 20 of those years involved in the specialty of endodontics. Dr. McKees endodontic residency was completed at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 under the guidance of Dr. Syngcuk Kim, known worldwide for his advancements in endodontic microscopy, pulpal biology, and microcirculation.
In those 20 years, Dr. McKee has performed thousands of endodontic procedures, gaining valuable experience in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. Dr. McKee values his ability to work with a variety of restorative dentists and treat more then just an individual tooth. A great working relationship is an invaluable service to the referring dentists and to the patient. Dr. McKees practice philosophy is to make his patients feel at ease and offer comfortable care in a professional environment. We want our patients to understand the treatment performed and just as importantly, the necessity of follow up treatment to be performed with their own restorative dentist.

This is the best place to go for a root canal. The staff is super friendly and professional. Dr.Mckee is so gentle and he explains everything that is going on as he does it. I have zero anxiety when I go there. I highly recommend him!

Dr. McKee and everyone who helped support me during a root canal were phenomenal. Everything was explained clearly, options were given, and the procedure itself was quick and easy. This was my first root canal and the only thing I felt during the procedure was a quick pinch when I received anesthetic. Absolutely recommend!

I absolutely love the team here at Belmar Endodontics. I have had many root canals, (2 with Dr. Mckee), and I have never had such an easy procedure as I have with him. He walks you through your options, and what he recommends. Then during the procedure, he'll walk you through everything they're doing. He got me in and out in about 45 minutes each time, and I would recommend them to everything. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly nice, and quote you each time, and will help you with insurance. Stacy remembered me from my last visit 2 years ago, and she called me for each reminder telling me she loved seeing me. Great service, and amazing work!
