Dr. Jesse Hofer is a dentist/specialist who treats individuals with a ground up approach. Dr. Hofer believes that close attention should be paid to the periodontium(supporting structures of teeth) to avoid tooth-loss in adulthood. He has a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and he received his education in periodontics from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. For those teeth that cannot be saved, Dr. Hofer offers implant replacement options. Dr. Hofer places about 500 implants/year. Prior to dentistry, Dr. Hofer worked for a company that provided medical care and supplies to Medicare patients and a private practice in New Jersey. Dr. Hofer scored in the top 1% on the national in-service examination administered by the American Academy of Periodontics. Hes a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and Hambletonian Study Club. Dr. Hofer takes time to listen carefully to individual concerns of patients and aims to tailor treatment according to individual conditions instead of trying to implement a one size fits all approach. Dr. Hofer is associated with the American Academy of Periodontics, the American Dental Association, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. During his free time, Dr. Hofer enjoys the outdoors, tennis, playing the guitar, and musical production. He is married and comes from a large family, five brothers and three sisters, who mostly live in the western states.
Dr. Levinson brings over 35 years of dental practice experience to Bellmore Family Dental. He spent his early years as Chief-of-Staff of two large dental offices in Manhattan, then went into family practice on eastern Long Islands south shore in 1985. He is proud to be associated with a talented, dedicated, and concerned staff that embraces his patient-oriented philosophy. Dr. Levinson is married, with three sons. He oil paints and attempts to be a handyman around the house.

The dental hygienist took her time and worked painstakingly to clean my teeth and gums. The dentist spoke with me in depth concerning my oral health, and the front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. Thank you to all who treated me.

Developed an infection and Bellmore family dental took me in right away. The staff was excellent. I wound up needing 2 molars extracted. The procedure was painless and I'm looking forward to the follow up care. Personally I would highly recommend this practice for all of your dental needs. It's a pleasure to have oral surgery as well as general dentistry and periodontics all under 1 roof. Makes it convenient.

I've been coming here for many years, and I don't plan on changing that at all! I absolutely love Dr. T, she is AMAZING! she recently fixed a tooth for me that I didn't think will be fixed and I thank her for that. I am the most traumatized person I know when it comes to dentists and I can say without a doubt that I chose correctly when I called Bellmore Family Dental for a dental emergency (which is the ONLY thing that gets me in to see a dentist). Big kudos of Dr. Farinaz Tazeh. She is extraordinarily talented. She put me at ease and had a great manner, but equally important, she did an amazing job quickly and perfectly. I had a complicated situation that needed to address problems with 3 teeth in a row. I thought she was only done with one tooth when she said, ok we're all done! Sangeeta was the sweetest dental assistant (her chatty friendliness did so much to put me at ease) and so was Thelma. Finally, big props to the financial person (I didn't get her name, unfortunately). She was kind, and did everything to alleviate the sticker shock. It is obvious that Bellmore Dental practices with a heart. They take care of your mouth and teeth, but they also help take care of your pocketbook. You have a patient for life!! I'm still in awe at this positive experience today. Thank you BFD!!

I was able to get an appointment on a Sunday morning and was taken care of by Dr. Hofer. I had seen two doctors prior who could not determine from X-rays, what was wrong with my tooth and he immediately saw that the tooth was cracked. He was able to take care of the problem that day and I am eternally grateful for his expertise. Amy the office manager was very thorough, patient and comforting.

After experiencing a small handful of dental practices I highly recommend Bellmore Family Dental! The dentists and entire staff are personable, friendly, courteous, and professional. Although it is a busy practice they always seem to manage to squeeze patients in if necessary and management will patiently go over billing if necessary. Most importantly, the dentists and dental hygienists are skilled with excellent bedside manner.
