Our entire team is heavily involved in community outreach programs and dedicated to helping individuals in our own backyards. One specific program we are particular passionate about is the Seattle King Country Health Clinic. The SKCC brings together healthcare organizations, civic agencies, non-profits, private businesses and volunteers from across the State of Washington to produce a giant free health clinic at Seattle Center. The four-day volunteer-driven clinic provides free dental, vision and medical care to anyone in the region who struggles to access and/or afford healthcare. The clinic mostly attracts a racially diverse and economically disadvantaged patient population.
Dr. Mark DiRe is the head of the crown department for the clinic and oversees other volunteer doctors as they make CEREC crowns for patients that in many cases would have their teeth extracted otherwise. Dr. DiRe and Dr. Flynn close down the office four consecutive days and create crowns with their amazing office team members by their side.
In addition, our dentists have been (and continue to be) major supporters of The Assistance League of the Eastside by contributing thousands of oral health kits each year to their Operation School Bell program. Dr. DiRe was given their National Award in 2007. Each year we donate another 4000 kits to be distributed to needy children in the Bellevue, Lake Washington and North Shore school districts. In all, this decade-long endeavor has resulted in over 40,000 dental hygiene kits delivered.
This is a terrific program that we are honored to be a part of. The children are always excited for the start of the new school year with their new clothes, backpacks and dental kits all provided by the ALE! Mark DiRe.
Dr. Mark DiRe has been a private practicing dentist in Bellevue, Washington for over 40 years. A graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry, he has been an innovator in the delivery of dental treatment. His interest in applying technology to improve the quality of the dental experience has been long-standing. He is the founder of Experience Dentistry (www.experiencedentistry.com), the secure patient-facing web-based dental software for diagnosis and safe transfer of digital patient data online. Hes been recognized as the Seattle Met Top Dentist every year from 2009 to 2019.
Dr. DiRe also recognizes a crisis in adult dental care. Moderate income patients with extensive needs are either under-insured or uninsured. To make a difference, Dr. DiRe formed Trinity Dental Services
His memberships include the ADA, WSDA and SKCDA, and he is an inducted member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists. He has been a teacher and lecturer on the benefits of CAD/CAM dentistry and CEREC technology for over 15 years.
His awards include the Operation School Bell National Award for his contributions over the last decade to Assistance League of the Eastside. Hes also received the Conrad Jacobsen Community Recognition Award from D.A.D.S and been recognized as a CEREC technology lead for the Seattle King County Annual Health Clinic at Key Area.
Dr. Marcus Flynn is a Washington native, born and raised in the Redmond/Woodinville area. He graduated from Redmond High School and later went on to receive his bachelors degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
Dr. Flynn then graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. While at Creighton, he received the award for Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in the Study of Prosthodontics along with earning his Practice Teaching Certificate in the Field of Periodontics.
Outside of practicing dentistry, Dr. Flynn loves all Seattle sports and takes advantage of Washingtons beautiful outdoors either on a lake or golf course. Dr. Flynn is excited to work alongside his parents neighbor, Dr. DiRe, who has been his dentist and family friend his entire life.
