Dr. Ryan Chiang received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery on the same campus. His ongoing commitment to post-graduate education allows him to provide exceptional cosmetic and implant dentistry to his family of patients.
Dr. Chiang is a graduate of the comprehensive curriculum at the Kois Center. This world-class educational series means his patients benefit from customized care that delivers the finest options in dentistry. The Kois curriculum encourages a thoughtful, evidence-based, phased approach that respects the choices and risks that each patient presents.
Since joining Bellevue Dental Arts, Dr. Chiang continues to volunteer as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and enjoys mentoring dental students. He represented the UW School of Dentistry as a delegate to the WSDA for two years during dental school.
Dr. Chiang believes in finding many ways to serve his community. For the past five years, and counting, he and his staff have participated in 'Dentistry From the Heart.' This team effort provides a full day of free dentistry to people in need. Bellevue Dental Arts also continues to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
As a third generation dentist, Dr. Chiang enjoys spending time with his wife, baby girl, dog, and family members. He maintains an active lifestyle participating in cycling, soccer, winter skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, and photography. Through an assortment of well-rounded activities, he aims to create balance in his life and serve his community and patients for years to come.

Dr. Chiang and his team are fantastic. His level of analysis and laying out options is outstanding. As someone who wants to know all the options and the pluses/minus of each, it gives me a level of confidence for the care I chose. Even if they are highly variable, he has examples and recommendations to help me make the decision. Oh ya, and very responsive to emails on scheduling!

Friendly efficient service by all and excellent Covid 19 precautions during all services. Lisa is a gem Dr Ryan, thanks for checking in with me during the pandemic!!! Congrats to Lisa on her retirement!!! Saw Jill yesterday in the midst of the worsening pandemic. I felt safe with all the precautions she and the office provided and the staff answered any questions and concerns. Jill provided friendly, comfortable, and thorough service. Thanks, stay safe!!! Amazing family owned dentist who is intelligent, innovative, and kind. I love going to the dentist and had been with the same dentist in Enumclaw, WA for about 30 years before he decided to retire. I wanted to find another family dental practice similar to (if not better) than I previously had in order to have another 30+ year dentist my family and I could go to. This is it! I have been a patient of Dr. Chang for many years (approximately 10 if not more). He is a great professional, always hears out his patients, educate them and explains why something has to be done. I am a person who is really scared of needles, and just any kind of injections overall and he has been great about it. Thanks to him I was able to overcome those fears and be more relaxed when going in for fillings and other procedures requiring a local anesthetic. I am so happy with him that I am willing to drive almost an hour just to go to his office which most people won't do but I guess that speaks even more about my loyalty as his patient. If you need a good basic maintenance or you have some serious dental work to be done, Dr Chiang is the dentist for you! I recently went to another office to get Invisalign treatment. At the beginning of the treatment I noticed that certain practices at this other place are questionable. Dr Chiang helped me assess the situation and was willing to work with the Orthodontist so I could get the best results. He had to step in when things were not done right for which I would be forever grateful! I am now officially done with my Invisalign treatment and thanks to Dr Chiang my bite is in the correct position.

I've been Dr Ryan Chiang's patient for over 5 years. My first encounter was due to a bad toothache and his staff went above and beyond to fit me in as a new patient despite a very busy schedule. My care has been outstanding through all of these years. I have a poor dental background, and Dr Chiang has always offered the best and necessary treatment, without trying to treat every single imperfection for financial benefit. His model is to have you as a patient for many years and provide his medical expertise so you can make the decision that that fits your current needs and priorities. It's worth to mention that Dr Chiang takes time to educate you on current research, risks and treatment options, so you don't feel lost in dental terms and procedures. He continues to learn and advance despite being so skillful already. The same applies to his staff. After so many years I feel like I know every employee since they are happy at BDA and choose to stay with this practice for many years. Same high standards apply to them and they frequently attend trainings and conferences to stay up to date with forever evolving science. I feel lucky to be a patient at BDA and have always been treated like family (so are other patients since you can hear Dr Chiang's charming bedside manner with others in the dental chair next door). Despite having to spend majority of time out of state I make sure to come to Seattle when and if I need dental treatment. At this practice you will be truly taken care of!

Today was a 6 month cleaning appointment with Lisa... she is very personable, professional and does a wonderful job with great technique and expertise! Dr. Ryan checked my teeth and no cavities! Time has gone by and I have a cavity under an old filling. Dr. Ryan was initially thinking crown but was able to save the tooth with a filling only! He has exceptional talent and the procedure was virtually pain-free from the novacane to final polishing!!

Dr Ryan and his staff are AMAZING. From the moment you walk in the door, you are warmly greeted. The front desk ladies are super kind. The office is decorated beautifully. From Dr Ryan to the hygienists and assistants, chair side manner is incredible, communication is clear... and to say Dr Ryan is an amazing clinician is an understatement. Plus, he's always looking to learn more, and perfect his craft. I'm so thankful to be at Bellevue Dental Arts!
