Dr. Henry A. Sweeny Jr. joined the Belleview Family Dental practice in July of 2003 after graduating from the Dental School. He is fondly known to his patients as Dr. Bo. He attended the University of Florida and attained a Bachelor of Science in Food Science, a Masters of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition and continued at the University of Florida to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine. Throughout his extensive career Dr. Sweeny frequently attends many continuing education courses and has focused on comprehensive training in Implant Placement and Implant Restoration. He also has advanced education in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Sweeny is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the International Team for Implantology. Dr. Sweenys practice also includes General Dental Procedures, Root Canals, Oral Surgery, Extractions, and Pediatrics. He has a particular passion for Implants and Oral Surgery. Dr.Sweeny is an avid fisherman and in his free time he also enjoys, golf, hunting, exercising, volunteering in the community, and can frequently be seen attending Florida Gator football games. He works alongside his Father, Henry A Sweeny Sr. DMD and his Brother Samuel J Sweeny DMD at this treasured local Dental Practice.
A dental assistant for 20 years, Cindy makes for a wonderful front office coordinator. Her extensive knowledge comes from taking classes for dental radiography and expanding her dental assistant duties. She likes the practice for its caring, family-like atmosphere, and she feels like Dr. Sweeny is her second dad. Cindys love for family extends to her own close-knit clan, which includes her husband and dog, Fancy. They can be found outdoors hunting, hiking, or working in the yard.
Called The Hub by her coworkers, Jessica is a well-rounded front desk coordinator. She is an ICU-certified nursing assistant and a phlebotomist, and she has taken all the required prerequisites for PTA and Medical Health Programs. Dr. Sweenys family-owned practice is like a family to her. She loves interacting with patients on a personal level. When not in the office, shes busy with her two sons, who are nine and 12.
A dental assistant since 1999, Kim has been with Belleview Dental since March 2014. She went to Vatterott College in Missouri, and then became an expanded-function dental assistant, continuing her education as an x-ray technician. She loves Dr. Sweenys small-office feel and that his practice is family owned. When not with her extended family, she and her husband keep busy (very busy) with their 4-year-old girl. They enjoy going to the movies, the beach, or anything they can do as a family.
While Jolene has been with Dr. Sweeny for about 6 months now, shes not new to dentistry. Having graduated from the CFCC Dental Assisting Program in 2013, she has her expanded-duties, infection control, and radiography certifications and is experienced in pediatric dentistry. From her extensive resume to her appreciation of Dr. Sweenys focus on patient education, its no surprise that Jolene loves learning. She loves coming to work everyday, but when shes not in the office shes with her family. Raised by her grandmother, she grew up playing fast-pitch softball and has a little brother.

No complaints until now. Have been going here for over a year and have had nothing but good experiences, but had an appointment today that was made 6 months ago and I showed up but they didn't. No calls or anything!

Keystone cops dentistry! Drove there for a scheduled hygienist appointment and was told they had a complete IT crash, lost all of their patient records and all of their x-ray records. Additionally I could not see the hygienist because they said they had no water service. And on top of that they informed me that my insurance, which I have been using for seven years, did not cover dental. Stay away from this outfit, I don't know how they will continue as a functioning entity.

Great experience. My impacted wisdom tooth was waaay back there and Dr. Sweeny got it out! Normally, I am a big baby about dental work but this time I was at ease with minimal discomfort. His dental assistants are amazing as well, very personable and kind. Dr. Sweeny and his team made my visit as pleasant as it could be, I highly recommend them!

On 9/30/2021 around 2:50pm. I called Belleview Dental Center to ask a few question about my bill. A lady named Tammy, dental hygienist, answered the phone. I explained to her that I had a few questions about my bill. I also mentioned that I called earlier and left a message for Kimberley. Tammy started raising her voice and said in an ugly tone " Sir! We have a lot of people in here and she don't have the time!" I asked why she was being ugly because there wasn't anything that would cause her to react that way. She continued to be ugly and she hung up the phone. I called back five (5) different times and no one answered. I was driving past the office when this occurred so I decided to pull in and speak to someone about my bill. I walked up to the front desk and no one was there. I heard two ladies talking around the corner. I listened to what was said. I heard "I hung up on him because he was being ugly." As the ladies entered the reception area I said "Ma'am, that's not the way it happened." Tammy then said "Ok Mr. Owens, come on around". I walked around and Tammy immediately started being extremely rude. There was another employee there that witnessed everything. Tammy continued to be loud and ugly to the point the other employee told her she shouldn't be doing that" Tammy then stated that she quit and was leaving. I started to speak to the other employee. Tammy was still being ugly and yelling. I referred to Tammy with the proper pronoun "she" when talking to the other employee. Tammy yelled again and said " I have a name. It is not she!" I told her that I couldn't remember her name and referring to her as"she" wasn't disrespectful. She then told me that she was offended by the word. She continued to yell and throw insults towards me. She called me an Alabama idiot. I asked "Did you call me an Alabama idiot?" She replied "Well if the shoe fits then wear it son!" At this time Kimberley was in the reception office hearing everything that was being said. Tammy continued to try and argue with me while me telling her not to speak to me because I was talking to another person. Tammy continued to yell and argue, disregarding my request to stop talking to me. I asked for Tammy supervisor's name and contact info. I was told that they could not give that info to me but to email the office email and they would forward it to the right person. Tammy, still being loud and irrational, said that she messaged the doctor. I explained to her that I asked her to stop speaking to me. I asked her to leave me alone and walk away. She didn't and told me what she messaged the doctor. In her words in the text she told the doctor she was rude and called me an Alabama idiot. I finally got the answer I needed and walked out the door. The receptionist walked outside to apologize for Tammy's behavior and said she should not have acted that way. Let's just see if anything is going to be done about this issue. She already said she quit and admitted to the doctor that she was ugly to me and called me an Alabama idiot.

I am so pleased to have such a great dentist/ dental technicians and staff. They're all top notch. I had bad/ broken teeth and wasn't sure if I would ever smile normally again. I now have more confidence than ever before, I can eat properly which leads to being healthier also. Great work isn't cheap, cheap work isn't great, if you were going to a heart surgeon or a brain surgeon would you go for the cheapest guy? No way. I won't go to any other place. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THERE!!!

After not going to the dentist for 8 years because of fear, I took a chance on dentist Dr Henry A. Sweeny Jr. With the staff's warm reception and professionalism, I immediately felt at ease. Dr "Bo" listened to all my concerns, treated me with respect, and performed the work he and I agreed upon with patience, attention to detail while guaranteeing his work. The best part of my dental experience at Belleview Dental Center is that I'm not afraid of going to the dentist anymore!!!!
