Belle Haven Family Dentistry was founded in July 2020 by Dr. Sarah Kennealy. Although the office is new to the area, Dr. Kennealy is not! Her family has been a part of the Mt. Vernon/Ft. Hunt community since the 1960s! Dr. Kennealy attended Mt. Vernon High School (which is also where she met her husband, Kevin). She graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Tech and earned her DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2012.
After dental school Sarah and Kevin settled in Richmond, VA, where she joined a private practice and spent the next six years practicing there. In 2018 they decided they had been away long enough and moved back to NoVa. Dr. Kennealy has been practicing in Springfield, VA for the last two years. But she is excited to be returning to the heart of her community to serve their dental needs!
Dr. Kennealy is passionate about providing the best care to her patients, and it is important that her patients feel comfortable and relaxed through out the entire treatment process. She is trained in providing comprehensive dental care from simple to complex cases in patients of all ages. Dr. Kennealy believes strongly in self improvement and is always seeking CE to learn and grow as a dentist/business owner/person. She is very active in the dental community as a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
In her free time Sarah, her husband Kevin, and their four children love to spend as much time as they can outside. Exploring and adventuring in Ft. Hunt park and along the GW parkway and in all the other wonderful parks and trails in this area!

The 1st time I walked through the door into the office of Dr. Sarah Kennealy, I knew FINALLY, I found my VA dentist. Yes, it was a feeling...at 1st! The experience only got better from there! Wonderful office staff, kindness, open communication (I mean, they heard me when I asked questions and noted my concerns), was waiting for me before I opened their door. Compared to the many dentists I have been referred to or chose on my own, since driving across the country from Long Beach, CA, Dr. Kennealy, her staff, and her office are total Zen!! NO JOKE!!

My family has been at Belle Haven Family Dentistry for a year and we are very pleased. My children are very comfortable with Dr. K and the dental hygienists. Dr. K and the hygienists go out of their way to create a warm and friendly environment for kids. My husband and I are also patients and the practice is thorough and efficient, using modern technology and techniques. We are super happy with this practice.

Incredible experience from start to finish. The front desk staff is so kind an courteous! They answered all of my questions and gave me a price sheet on the approximate cost for my fillings. The hygienist doing the initial cleaning was so sweet and gentle on my mouth. I love the Dentist!! She's such a caring a kind woman. My children also go to this office and they look forward to going to the dentist! The overall feel of the office is warm and upbeat. The colors are soft and I feel comfortable there. Thanks for providing such a great experience!!

The entire experience was fantastic! The appointment availability is excellent--I was able to get a same-day, new patient appointment! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Kennealy is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail for me to understand. The office was really neat and cozy. Definitely will be recommending to my friends and family!

I followed Dr. Kennealy to her new practice because she is by far the most knowledgeable dentist I've met. The office space is not only beautiful but state of the art. The entire office is full of wonderful, kind, compassionate and competent professionals. I know we all have some trepidation when it comes to dental work, but this is a practice that eases those fears. I trust Dr. Kennealy entirely and feel very fortunate to have found her.
