Bella Faccia Dental Spa is a modern, state-of-the-art practice offering San Diego area patients a full-range of general to advanced and cosmetic dental services, from routine check-ups to complete smile makeovers. Dr. Whang practices advanced, proactive dentistry utilizing the latest in dental technology. Your comfort is always a primary concern.
Dr. Whang received his Doctoral Degree in Dentistry from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry and is board certified by the American Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Whang is also a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Whang has also completed several nationally acclaimed Implant Residency programs and is in the process of completing his accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Whang also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Irvine.
While at the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry Dr. Whang was a member of the Clinical Faculty in several areas of dentistry, including fixed prosthetics, removable prosthodontics and operative dentistry. He was also involved in state-of-the art research in such areas as Procera crowns and air abrasion dentistry.
Dr. Whang enjoys swimming, golfing, skiing and photography. He played competitive water polo throughout high school as well as during his undergraduate years at the University of Southern California. Dr. Whang is also fluent in Korean.

Super friendly staff! I haven't been to a dentist in a while but they were super understanding about it and weren't judgey like other places can be. Definitely recommend going here! Everyone is super nice.

The entire team at Bella Faccia are fantastic. They do my regular cleanings, and have done filllings and a crown replacement for me. Very happy, highly recommended.

Bad Dentist. I had two crowns put on by whang less then a year ago. 1 was pulled because he left a x marks the spot on the crown and it cracked the tooth. Endodontist fixed the X but crack was already done. The second is getting replaced this week. As it is completely unusable! He refuses o refund any amount even though its his fault completely. On the second crown he was so mad when he adjusted it a tear fell from my face as the pain was excruciating! He should have his license revoked! In reply: First this review would not be here if I felt you stood behind your work. Crown #1 after root canal. you left a X in the crown. I could feel it with my tongue. I came in for adjustment. You left it. Tooth cracked a few days later. Went to Endodontist. She adjusted the tooth and removed the X. relieved the rubbing, but damage already done and in pain. Second time with Antibiotics.. Tooth removed. Go look at the crown you mounted in 2012 on same tooth. You have a xray on a disc I gave you. That is your work. Crown #2 Before you mounted crown I said tooth does not feel ok (already know signs of canal issue). I told both you and assistant. You pressed on with install even though I really felt we should have stopped and done a root canal possibly. I have been in some sort of pain since install. Now this one is getting root canal. FYI : I am being 100% truthful and protected by the Consumer Review Fairness Act.

Dr. Whang did a fantastic job bringing my dental work up to date. After 40 years, my old fillings were starting to fail. Dr. Whang replaced them all. Now on to the maintenance phase! jc

I have been patient with my whole family with Dr. Wang for 19 years. I can just say that I have gotten the best care ever- and I am picky!!! If you are looking for the best general and cosmetic dentist, then see ours here. We have had this gentleman and his very personal staff, take care of our entire family. From being the only cosmetic dentist willing to successfully spoil my wife with a top-notch outcome, through crowns, implants and wisdom teeth, he has done it all for my entire family. If one stop, full care, that takes your insurance, is your goal then see this expert. I don't give recommendations easily but I will when absolutely deserved. Dr. Whang and his team deserves them.

We absolutely love Dr Whang! We have been going to their office for over 10+ yrs and my daughters absolutely love them! Never ever do I have to battle for them to go see Dr Whang & their team! I love technology & all the high tech ways to minimize the "shot" for the numbing - I hate needles and they are so amazing with that & are so considerate.

Dr Whang and the entire staff at Bella Facia are awesome! If you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend you check them out! Dr Whang is gentle with your mouth and really makes you feel comfortable. Heather is great at cleaning your teeth and makes it painless! Wendy and Kylie have always been so helpful to sort out appointments and insurance issues - which has been a big issue with my insurance in the past. Overall, they really are a great dentist and I highly recommend you come see them.
