Edward Mamaril, D.D.S graduated with a double major in Biology and Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and went on to graduate from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1984. He has a special interest in complex and cosmetic dentistry, traveling to UCLA School of Dentistry to further his knowledge of cosmetic dentistry and dental sleep medicine. This devotion to education ensures his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. Dr. Mamaril is a member of numerous dental organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry. He has earned the level of sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an organization dedicated to excellence in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Mamaril resides in Kokomo, with his wife. They have four children and 16 grandkids.
Allison Gibson, D.D.S is a graduate from Indiana State University with a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2013. She returned to her hometown to begin her career and family and joined BeGentle Dentistry as an associate right out of dental school. Dr. Gibson is a member of the North Central Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association and American Dental Association. Dr. Gibson resides in Russiaville with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and going to the gym.
David Sturgeon, D.D.S has been a lifetime resident of Kokomo. He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1959. He started his college career at Wabash College and then transferred to Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology, where he graduated in 1964. Dr. Sturgeon was drafted into the army and spent two years at Walter Reid Medical Center. After serving, he went onto Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1971. Dr. Sturgeon has previously served as President of the Metropolitan Kiwanis Club, President of Howard County Dental Society and President Wabash Dental Society. Along with practicing dentistry at BeGentle Dentistry he serves as an adjunct instructor in the dental assisting program at Ivy Tech Kokomo.

My mother id 87 years old and has gone to Dr. Mamaril for over 25 years, and I am a former patient of his. I have never found a more gentle dentist. They certainly live up to their name! With my mother's memory loss, the doctor was happy to repeat things. He is excellent at building rapport with his patients. I really can't recommend this dental clinic in general and Dr. Mamaril in particular.

A++ experience all around! Admittedly, I was quite nervous facing several extractions and fillings, but Dr Gibson and everyone at Be Gentle made the entire experience a breeze! Very helpful and comforting staff. Thank you all so much for your help in restoring my smile!

Dr. Mamaril is very kind, caring and professional. I am very confident that I am getting the best dental care possible. Lisa the Dental hygienist is also very caring and kind with a great bedside manner. I have always been treated with professionalism by the whole staff. Thank you all.

Always happy to refer my family and friends to this office for quality dental care. On the rare occasion when I've needed something beyond my regular cleaning I've always had a thorough explanation of any procedures I've needed. They have definitely lived up to their name as my comfort has been their top priority along with their quality dental care at every appointment I've had over my many years with this office. I also appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the warm welcome I receive each time I walk in!

My family loves Be Gentle Dentistry! It's a comfortable atmosphere and the staff is super friendly. I never dreamed that my 10 year old would be so excited to go to the dentist! If you're looking for top notch dentists, look no further!

Be Gentle Dentistry is the best! I absolutely dread going to the dentist, but Dr. Mamaril is so nice. All of the hygienist are very gentle at cleaning my teeth and put me at ease. Whenever I walk in, Jessica greets me with a smiling face. My 4 year old loves wearing the glasses and fake mustache during his visit. I would recommend to everyone of all ages!
