Dr. Nguyen grew up in Winston-Salem. He took country roads to West Virginia University for his undergraduate degree and continued to dental school at the highly prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Nguyen continued after graduation doing the postdoctoral program call Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). This AEGD designed to provide advanced training in clinical dentistry beyond the level of predoctoral education. The comprehensive program of didactic lectures and seminars in all disciplines of dentistry support the training at both the clinic and rotation settings. Dr. Nguyen enjoys all types of dentistry from complex pediatric treatment to full mouth implant restoration.
Dr. Nguyen is one of the few elite dentists in the United States that have double Fellowship and double Mastership from both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP) . Dr. Nguyens one of only five dentists in the entire state of North Carolina the holds Fellowship and Mastership of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI). This distinguished distinction symbolizes the highest level of competency in implant dentistry.
The International Congress of Oral Implantologists is not only the worlds largest dental implant organization but also the worlds largest provider of continuing dental implant education. The ICOI is dedicated to providing implant education to entire dental teams to better serve patients.
The American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics supports implants as an integral component of dentistry, promotes the open exchange of information, assists in maintaining high standards of excellence, and seeks to stimulate implant research.
Dr. Nguyen is married, father of four children, Emerson, Andrew, twin girl Caroline and Sophia, and snorkie dog Noodles. When he is not in the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Dr. Nguyen, an Eagle Scout, helps out with the local Boy Scout of America troop, where his son is a member. One of Dr. Nguyen favor pastime since childhood have been playing video games, from the first Street Fighter arcade, to Call of Duty and onward to War of Tanks and War of Warships. As a high schooler, Dr. Nguyen, who nick name, Bee was one of the original Triad Street Fighter 2 arcade champ back in the late 80s.
