  • DR. PAUL CONNOLLYMany people have asked me through my adults years, what do you do for a living? The boring textbook answer is I am a Prosthodontist. However, how I see myself as someone who strives to provide a wonderful customer experience, in which patients can obtain their ideal oral health and function. I help people Smile, Eat, Laugh, Enjoy their ultimate moments in life. I want the opportunity to help everyone make and maintain their smiles of their future enjoyment. If the year of 2020 has shown us anything, the lack of visible smiles in our world is sadly depressing. I am so excited to see mask-less faces, so that people can convey their happiness and joy with their smiles again.Usually during a dentist bio page, the page lists achievements, awards, and education of the dentist; however I would like to proceed with my page a little differently. First and for most, I am a certified dental nerd (just ask my wife or any BDC team member). I am continuously studying and learning more about my craft; but I do not want to bore you with those details. For those of you that want that information, please ask during your visit with me, or follow this link to my accomplishments (link to below), though you should be ready for a highly intense, long conversation about the many ways that dentistry is amazing and the ways technology has advanced our care for patients.Otherwise, here is the quick version of my dental story. After completing 4 years of dental school studies, I continued to learn via a 3 year residency in Prosthodontics (think replacement/rebuilding of teeth). These 3 years were highly educational in rebuilding smiles, dental implants, and overall helping patients with complex issues. After residency I joined the wonderful team at Bedford Dental Care. Over the last 15 years, I have had the wonderful experience of helping many people re-gain their smiles, function, and health; while continuing to learn from many mentors and continuing education sources.I help people smile, eat, and laughThat gives you some insight into my life as a dentist, but what is missing is why dentistry? Why did I pursue this career path? That story starts much earlier in my life. As a teenager and young adult, I was blessed with good strong teeth, however I had an excessive amount of gum tissue. This caused my front teeth to look short or tiny. Because of this, I did not smile as big nor often as my personally would have liked (though I do not realize this at the time).During my sophomore of college, I visited with a periodontist (gum and bone dentist) and he performed a gum lift surgery. He removed the excessive gum tissues. WOW, the results were amazing and more importantly the growth in my self confidence/self esteem was huge. All of a sudden, I was smiling more, laughing more. I was amazed at the mental improvement this physical changed had, & from that moment on I knew I wanted to help people in the same manner this dentist helped me. I wanted to help people achieve their ideal smiles, their ideal function & hopefully I could have even a small influence like my dental procedure had upon myself.Well that is enough of the dental talk here.Lets talk about the most important aspect of my life today-my family. My family is most important thing to me in this world. That starts with my amazing wife Andrea and our son Pierce.Whenever this dental nerd is not working, I strive to spend as much time with them (and our four legged childScottsdale (a labradoodle) as possible. We spend many wonderful moments kayaking, playing golf, fishing, traveling(hope to do this again soon)watching movies, hiking, basically any moment with them is great.PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTSBoston College-BS in BiochemistryUniversity of Pennsylvania-Doctor of Medical Dentistry DegreeNational Board Part 1 HonorsJoseph E Ewing Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance in Fixed ProsthodontHorace Wells Club Trust ScholarshipUniversity of Iowa-Certificate in ProsthodonticsADVANCED STUDIES INSleep apnea diagnosis and treatment with oral appliancesBotox-with special focus on treatment to correct migraine and TMJ issuesAll-on-X treatmentsimplant therapies to help replace all teeth for fixed bridgesVoted Best Prosthodontist in NH 8 straight years by my peers Lectured to doctors and hygienist throughout NH about the advancements in advanced tooth replacement options

  • DR. WILLIAM GUTHRIEI love being a dentist and serving my patients. I am blessed to be able to help people while doing something I truly love and am passionate about. It is so rewarding to experience a patients renewed confidence or hear I wish I had done this years ago!A big part of our success is that we listen. When I meet a patient, I am always sure to ask what their goals are for their mouth. Whether maintaining health, replacing a single tooth, or starting fresh with a smile makeover, I want to know what is important to YOU then my job is to help get you there. I am passionate about determining exactly what my patients want, and then delivering it at the highest level.Getting to that level requires skill, experience, and a commitment to continued learning. This is one of the reasons I was so excited to join Bedford Dental Care in 2014. I absolutely LOVE collaborating with such an amazing, committed team of dentists, each with their own strengths (seriously, the team here is awesome). My greatest emphasis is on restorative dentistry and orthodontics utilizing Invisalign clear aligners. I have been extremely fortunate to have studied under and been mentored by some of the brightest minds in those fields. When Im not at the office, Im spending time with my family. My amazing wife Maggie is a hair stylist who now stays at home with our five sons (yes, you read that right) Henry, Theo, Oliver, Sam, and Cole. We spend a lot of time hiking local trails, running around at the beach, playing at the park, etc anything outside to get their energy out! The boys and I have taken on a few very beginner level projects around the house, which helps to keep us busy and out of trouble. I also enjoy cooking, especially grilling and smoking meats and making sushi and poke bowls. Our family is active in our church and in the foster care community.I want to know what is important to you then my job is to help get you there.I am especially proud of two recent accomplishments:Earned my Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, an award fewer than 6% of dentists in the US and Canada have received.Achieved Platinum status with Invisalign the only general dentistry practice in Southern NH, and one of only two offices in the entire state at this level.Professional AccomplishmentsUndergraduate: Grove City College BS (Molecular Biology)Dental School: University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery DDSResidency: Danbury Hospital General Practice Residency (GPR)Awards and CertificationFellow Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD)Platinum Provider InvisalignMember American Dental AssociationMember American Academy of Clear AlignersMember American Academy of Cosmetic DentistryContinuing Education HighlightsThe Pankey InstituteSpear Education with Dr. Frank SpearClinical Mastery Series with Dr. John NostiFoundations Study Group with Dr, Michael MelkersInvisalign Education with Dr. Ryan MolisInvisalign Education with Dr. David GallerInvisalign Education with Dr. Ben MiragliaIn total, Dr. Guthrie has completed over 600 hours of continuing education in the last 6 years.

  • Hello! Welcome to Bedford Dental Care! I joined the amazing team at Bedford Dental Care in 2018 when I moved my family here from California. What I love most about working at Bedford Dental Care is that we have a passionate, wonderful team that truly cares about our patients and their well being. I have great colleagues that not only I enjoy working with but their passion of delivering the highest quality of care really stands out!

The work that brings me the most joy is creating beautiful, life changing smiles. Patients love me for my gentle approach and attention to detail, but Im most known for my humming while I work. I go the extra step in ensuring your visit with me is as pain free and relaxing as possible.

I attended my first choice dental school at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco, the only remaining accelerated dental program in the U.S. After graduating in the top 20% of my class and completing my dental degree, I was accepted into a dental postgraduate program, Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) affiliated with the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry at their Stockton, CA campus. When my husband started his active duty with the U.S. Navy at Camp Pendleton we settled down in San Diego, which was also where I attended and completed my undergraduate study with honors at the University of California, San Diego. Since graduating, I have worked in several family-oriented and cosmetic dental practices in Southern California and co-owned a dental practice with my husband before deciding to move to New Hampshire.

The next question I get asked the most is, Why did you move to New Hampshire? The short answer is because New Hampshire is a great place to be! The long answer starts with an invitation from my aunt. She had lived in California most of her adult life and after she retired, she moved to New Hampshire to be closer to her youngest son. After she moved here, she fell in love and invited us to visit. We knew before we had completed our visit hat we wanted to move to New Hampshire. It is the perfect place for us to raise our two kids, Kylie and Rylan. We are able to enjoy the beautiful forest hikes, fishing and swimming in the lakes, leaf peeping and, of course, building snowmen and learning to ski. Our current passions are cooking, baking, camping, biking, tennis, archery and fishing.

  • DR. RASHA RAFIZADEHI grew up in Atlanta, Georgia (although you will rarely hear an accent), and I absolutely love my sweet tea, shrimp and grits, and biscuit with gravy. I attended Georgia State University for my undergraduate studies where I received my bachelors degree in Biology and it was in college that I came to discover my passion for dentistry. I did not come from a family of dentists, nor was dentistry the career I dreamt of having as a little girl. Yet when it came time to choose a career path, I knew I wanted to be in a field where I can help improve and impact peoples lives. Growing up I spent many hours in the dental chair and always loved going to the dentist. No matter the difficulty of the procedure, I always had a positive experience and slowly each visit left me with a healthier mouth and a more growing confident smile. It was once I realized how much dentistry influenced my own life and improved my self confidence, that I knew I wanted to help others achieve the same thing.I moved to Boston in 2011 to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where I studied four years of general dentistry. After graduation, I moved to New Hampshire with my husband, and have absolutely loved living here. We have picked up skiing to help get through the long winters, and love to hike or go to the beach in the summers. We currently live with our four-legged son, Remington, who is a rambunctious mini goldendoodle and hoping to expand our family in the near future. As a practicing dentist, my goal is to provide as comfortable and positive of an experience as I can for all of my patients so that they can all love going to the dentist like I did. I believe that with the advances and technology available in modern dentistry there is no reason for anyone to avoid coming to the dentist and I am committed to providing the best and most up-to-date treatment for my patients.

I am someone who has typically ALWAYS been anxious about going to a Dentist, but from day ONE, Dr. Guthrie and his team have been AMAZING!!!! The office is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff from the front office to the techs, dental hygienist, nurses and Doctors are warm, friendly, knowledgeable, respectful and accommodating. They are easy to talk to, have a great sense of humor and have a way of just calming me down EVERY time I'm there. ( and it doesn't involve handing out medication). Where else can you go where the Doctor, themself, will call the patient to check on how you're doing???? I can go on and on but honestly, I just want to stress ... you will NEVER find a practice like this for any of your dental needs! I HIGHLY recommend this practice! You won't be sorry!!! BIG kudos to Kasey, Chris and everyone who has ever worked with my husband, son or myself

I have dental anxiety (like many others do). The lady who scheduled my appt was pleasant on the phone. I had a new patient appt in September. The dental team (hygienist and dentist) were kind/ helpful. An employee was scheduling another appt for me, and I guess another employee was trying to schedule for the same date and time. I did get scheduled for this date and time BUT the other employee was making me feel like not welcomed I guess. She was frustrated I was scheduled for that date and time. I manage an office myself. I understand you cannot please all customers/ patients and it can be hectic, I get it, I really do. But the way she came across made me feel like I did something wrong. The employee scheduling me kind of defended me. I do appreciate and graciously thank the dental team for the few appts I had at this dental office.

The BEST dentist in the area. Honest, friendly, clean. I have never had a bad experience here and they work to SAVE you money SAVE your teeth and maximize your insurance benefits. They have all the latest technology and they saved my boyfriends tooth (previous dentist said it needed a root canal and Dr. V said she can save the tooth since he is only 25) such a relief. This office really cares about their patients, and works with you to achieve the smile YOU want, not the smile they are going to make the most money off of. They went over all questions I had and explained in detail about my gum health. I will never leave this office!
