For over 33 years, I have been proud to serve the dental needs of my patients here in our Bedford community. I enjoy providing ethical, evidence based dentistry to all of my patients. I feel honored that you have chosen Bedford Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, and it is my greatest goal to always deliver attractive, long-lasting, and well-designed dentistry to you and your family.
Before bringing healthy, beautiful smiles to Bedford, I attended the Georgetown University Dental School, graduating in 1983. Between 1983 and 1987, I served as a lieutenant for the United States Public Health Service and was the director of dentistry for Florida Rural Health Services. I am a graduate of the Dr. William Strupp Postgraduate School of Dentistry, and in 1987 I opened my private practice right here in Bedford.
In addition to my formal education and training to become a dentist, I regularly participate in continuing education as a way to learn about and offer my patients the latest, and most advanced dental treatment options. I am a member of several professional dental organizations and study clubs that offer continuing education opportunities including the American Dental Association and the New Hampshire Dental Society.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also like to golf, cook, and read. I look forward to working with you and your family, and sharing so many wonderful smiles in the years to come.
Kristina received her dental hygiene degree in 2007 and has been with our office since 2008. She is licensed to administer local anesthesia, and has experience working in both periodontal and general dental practices. Kristina enjoys building relationships with her patients, which allows her to customize patients treatment according to their individual needs. She strives to provide thorough hygiene therapies and a positive dental experience. Her goal for each patient is to improve their oral health and help patients understand the oral systemic connection.
Kristina and her husband are both from New Hampshire; they have a young daughter and 2 dogs. When she is away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Some of her hobbies include; traveling to new places, reading, and hiking.
Cindy joined our team in January of 2019 as a dental hygienist. Cindy started in the dental field in 2006 as a dental assistant working in a community health setting. Cindy decided to go back to school to complete her bachelors degree in dental hygiene from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. Cindys love of the dental field keeps her motivated to stay current and involved in continuing education courses to provide her patients with the best preventative oral health care possible. Cindy and her family relocated to New Hampshire from Connecticut and in her free time loves to spend time with her family exploring new places in and around New Hampshire.
Christine originally joined the practice as a dental assistant in 2004. She did take a few years off in 2015 to pursue her real estate license but decided she did miss the dental field. We are very happy to have her aboard once again. She received her assisting certification through New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord in 2003 and regularly participates in continuing education courses. She has always worked in customer service and loves making people happy. She is compassionate and dedicated and absolutely loves working with patients to educate them in maintaining and creating excellent oral health. When Christine is not at work, she enjoys being outside in the different seasons that New Hampshire has to offer, hiking, biking, running, kayaking, skiing and traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Briana joined the practice as a certified dental assistant in 2020. She received her assisting certification back in 2017 through New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord. Briana participates in continuing education courses throughout the year. She is thoughtful and gentle and pays attention to the needs of the patient. She enjoys creating relationships and teaching good oral hygiene. When Briana is not working she loves working out, cooking and discovering new music.
Maureen has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She joined Dr. Hedstroms office in March 2012 as the billing and insurance coordinator. With her prior work history including front desk, billing, accounting, and management of a large multi-specialty practice, she has a vast knowledge of the dental field. Maureen strives to make the billing, insurance, and financing aspects of your dental care a little easier, so you can focus on your dental health. She is always eager to answer any questions you may have regarding your insurance and billing. Outside of work Maureen enjoys spending time with her family, working in the yard and is an avid gardener.
Jocelyn joined our team in 2018 as a dental front desk receptionist/patient care coordinator. Jocelyn has been in the dental field since 2009 previously working as a dental assistant. With her previous experience as an assistant, Jocelyn is great at helping patients coordinator and schedule their treatment. In her spare time, she enjoys going to New York to spend time with her twin nieces, socializing with her friends and bar tending at wedding events in and around New Hampshire..

Been going here for almost a decade and love them. Super friendly staff and they take great care of their clients. I have regular cleanings, had a root canal, and also used them for invisalign work. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a dentist that takes pride in their service.

I called their office to schedule my daughter after I was told from her previous office that she needed multiple fillings. The office was clean and modern, my daughter actually enjoyed her cleaning with Korine! I can't thank Dr. Persha enough for hearing my concerns and doing a THOROUGH exam, which I was told she in fact that she does not need any fillings, instead he had recommended getting some sealants to protect the teeth from needing fillings in the future. It's reassuring to find a dentist that cares more about the patient than their production. Thank you all!

If possible, I would give 0 stars. Dealing with the Office Manager, MAUREEN, has been a nightmare! She's rude when she answers the phone and even more unpleasant when dealing with her in person. MAUREEN consistently acts as if you're bothering her when you have a question. DON'T GO TO THIS DENTAL PRACTICE!

Great place, not overdone, but has the latest approaches with many years on the Job. Great staff: empathetic, energetic, and sincere. Dr. Joe doesn't oversell and has a great chair side manner. Wish I had more dental issues....what?!?!, noooooooo! Keep it up!

i was recommended by a close friend. front staff was very polite, corrine did my cleaning and not only did she make me feel comfortable but joked around from time to time while doing a very good job. Dr.Joe and his assistant took care of my fillings and were efficient (no pain). even the staff members that weren't involved with why i was there were friendly. i would and will be recommending this practice to others. i will be returning for future cleanings and appointments.

I am so glad I found Bedford Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry! After avoiding offices for years I finally found a dental home. The moment Jocelyn answered the phone, I felt completely comfortable. She knew all the right questions to ask and worked with my busy schedule. My cleaning was amazing... actually GENTLE!! I have never had that before. Dr. Hedstrom was kind and personable, and very sympathetic to my needs. I would defiantly recommend!!!!

My children and I have been going to Dr. Joe now for almost 10 years and we all couldn't be more pleased. After trying 3 other dentists we finally found Bedford Cosmetic Dentistry and have been completely satisfied. The atmosphere is always friendly and I know that all the employees care about my family. You can tell the difference in care after your first visit.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hedstrom for 10 years now and have been nothing but pleased. First and foremost, I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to needles - which he happily alleviates with topical numbing solution along with his gentle touch. Secondly, everybody in the office is up front with any dental issues and the best approach to address them (providing multiple solutions). Lastly, the entire staff is always friendly and courteous!

I can not say enough about Dr. Hedstrom (aka 'Dr. Joe') and his staff. I recently had some cosmetic work done that I had been putting off for years. Consequently, I had stopped smiling or would cover my mouth when I did. I decided that the time had come to .... get it done. Dr. Joe and his staff were wonderful and were excited for what I was doing for myself. It was a fantastic experience, the outcome - wonderful and I truly enjoy smiling again! They are all excellent, professional and friendly. In this age when people just want to feel respected and cared for (which seems to be a lost art)... you will find it here. Dr. Joe has such a personality that you will feel like you have been friends forever. My husband equally enjoys the service and visits. It's like catching up with a friend. Thank you , thank you, thank you! I love to smile again!!!

From Kelly's smiling face greeting you hello to the dental assistants and hygienists Brittany, Kristina and Lisa (and in the past, Kendra - we miss her!) in the back, your dental experience will be comfortable and rewarding. I have had some great work done at this dentistry and every time I leave my smile is brighter! I have no problems going to the dentist, especially here!!
